Re: Silicone Allergy
I use to clean with wipes, but they seemed to reduce the seal life due to the liquid not drying before reuse. Now I use ozone which connecsts to the tubing. My system only cleans the tubing and mask which you put in a bag. I prefer this to systems that may hurt the gaskets on the machine. I allways ...

Re: Silicone Allergy
Thank-you for the comments. All suggestions are appreciated. I had one more air touch cushin that I tried last night. The one causing trouble had been used for less than 2 weeks. Last night I had no allergy problems, knock on wood. I am wondering if the other seal has some defect that is unique to i...

Silicone Allergy
I read a post that was from 2011 on this subject and have seen little since. I would like to say that for those with glasses like me the silcone alergy is easy to diagnose. My glasses once had silicone nose pads. They were light frames with with nice soft pads, but after wearing them several days my...

Re: Centrals and obstructive apneas in the same night — how to adjust pressure?
I know when I was tested I couldn't sleep so my MD prescribed a mild sleeping pill. That knocked me out and made me tired all the next day. I never took another sleeping pill but may take an over the counter allergy pill that just helps those issues. If I had to take sleeping pills I would have symp...

Re: events increasing need advise please
Wow what a change. Feel way more rested and down to 0.5 AHI. Thank-you Pugsy and all those that contribute to this great site. Even my doctor did not have a suggestion for me. I think I will celebrate by taking a bike ride. Thank-you all.

Re: events increasing need advise please
Thank-you Pugsy. I change over to auto and set the minimum to 9 and max to 12. I left the EPR alone for now. My provider HCS, set the machine to the Cpap setting rather than the auto setting. They are not very helpful and can't even get my mask order figured out. Let me try this for a few days and t...

Re: events increasing need advise please
Sorry again for the slow reply. Attached find my screen shot. This is the worst night since I started. Changing computers made it doable. What do I need to do to improve this. Thanks

Re: events increasing need advise please
Sorry for the slow posting of data, but I can't get a readable chart out of Sleepyhead. I have loaded the program twice. I have adjusted and readjusted everything under appearance. I have changed fonts which helped some but not that much. I have spent 10 hours playing around and have nothing to show...

events increasing need advise please
Hi I have been on CPAP for about 2 1/2 years and have averaged around 1 apneas per hour until recently when I have had one night with 7 and averaging around 5 for the last several nights. My wife has noticed a change too that has not been for the better. She has even questioned the number feeling it...

Re: Do Full Face Masks Change Facial Skin for the Worst
Hi. I have a theory that I would like to put forward. You may be allergic to silicone like me. I learned that I was allergic to silicone not from my mask but from my glasses. If I use silicone nose pads it feels like someone is pounding nails into the bridge of my nose. Relief is from using a bandag...

Re: Not all linners are made equal
Hi all. I don't know if your problem is like mine, but I will tell you what works for me. I am allergic to silicone. That makes all hard masks, except one problematic. If I put silicone next to my skin it gets red and then very sore. I first discovered this with my glasses when the nose pads felt li...
