Re: OT - Statins and You
Not trying to stir up anything.....came here for something else. But there's recent work about the positive benefits of statins on cancers. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/health/11647600/Statins-can-halve-patients-risk-of-dying-from-cancer.html If this were true, we should have seen a reduction in...

AllanGF , I'm guessing from your language (English English vs American English) that you're posting from somewhere in the UK. P.S. I've gone over and over my message and I still can't guess how you figured out I was British from what I have written! A few things give it away. Refer me on... I've no...

Don't put it down close to the floor where your dog sleeps. Fresh dog fart pumped up your nose is an experience you will want to avoid.

Google is your friend... lots of places do home sleep studies, you don't need a Rx for the study, just the machine. They offer package deals for study. reading, RX. etc.

yeah, I know about that burnt bridge thing... Not very smart. but we all make mistakes. Better to just ignore the negative posts and press on. Why shut the door to good info because a few people don't always play nice? You soon learn who they are, and just take their posts with a few grains of salt....

Re: in home study needed to get a teplacment cpap..help please
A FIFTEEN year cpapper being forced to undergo this is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! My advice, like others, would be to get a machine on your own, and then take these weasels TO COURT! My advice would be that if you do get a machine on your own (which I would not recommend), at the advice of people such as...

Is this the only in-network provider for your insurance plan? If not, you can use any in-network DME for your equipment and supplies. Be sure to get copies of everything, sleep study, titration, and prescriptions.

Since your intent is to help others, you should note that the largest study (done in Taiwan) that showed increased risk of pneumonia had more details. This study included 6,000 people newly diagnosed with sleep apnea. The control group were those who were not given a machine, because their conditio...

Re: Which cpap machine has an alarm clock?!
The nice answer would be: " We don't know of any dependable machines besides FP that have the feature you want." Well, the OP kind of left the door wide open when he said........ Any recommendations? Sort of like "Life is like a box of chocolates. You just never know what you're gonna get." Den . Y...
