Re: ResMed AirCurve Vauto & Cell Towers
My wife and I both received new AirCurce 10 VAUTO machines with modems in them. They were both manufactured in 2022 according to the serial number. Even though I don't use the My Air site, I went ahead and registered my machine just to see if it transmitted data to ResMed, and it did.

Re: Gas Stoves and Apnea
We have had both gas and electric appliances over the years. Where we currently live, it is cheaper to heat and cook with gas than electricity. We are currently using gas which I prefer. I would actually prefer a hybrid stove with gas cook top and electric oven. To do that, I would need to have a ne...

Re: Should I have a backup machine?
You should have a back up for everything associated with your sleep apnea treatment. My wife and I now have two back up machines for each of us (got new machines today). We also have several heated hoses, masks and mask cushions. We won't need to purchase anything for at least three years.

Re: Do I need CPAP?
Not having REM sleep does not make a sleep study inadequate. My sleep study was noted for the lack of REM sleep. I could never sleep long enough to get into REM sleep.

Re: What I've learned in one year
Welcome to the forum. We all do what works best for us. Congratulations on finding the method that works for you. I have gone through close to 20 masks trying to find one I can sleep with. My wife and I were both able to get our machines through Medicare without too many problems. Right now, we are ...

Re: questions about masks (leaks) and definition (median)
My wife and I both switched from the F20 to the Evora shortly after it came out. We have both been happy with the Evora. For us, the leaks were easier to control with the Evora.

Even a tiny bit of metal can damage the magnetron tube. Of course, if you have been wanting an excuse to upgrade to a newer oven . . . The first microwave oven I had was an Amana Radar Range and the inside of the oven was all stainless steel. Now, they say not to put any metal inside of the microwa...

Re: Been Using Resmed Aircurve 10 VAuto - but need a replacement
I recently asked the nurse practitioner at the sleep clinic about getting new machines for my wife and I before the Air Curve 11 machines comes out. I really like my machine and want to keep using the same kind of machine in the future. She ordered new Air Curve 10s for both of us. My machine is ove...

Re: YouTakeMyBreathAway's Therapy Thread
I don't see anything that really needs to be changed. As much as we would like it to happen, it is unrealistic to have perfect numbers across the board every night. Your oxygen level made a few small dips, but for very short periods of time. Respiration and heart rates often vary when we dream. They...

Re: Reading OSCAR leak stats ?
If the leaks are not bothering you, I wouldn't worry about it. Resmed says anything above 24 liters is excessive. However, the machine can handle at least 34 liters and still adequately treat your apnea.
