Jacksonville craigslist nearby has a handful of s9 of various flavors for $100 to $200 with power brick. Maybe also try offerup.com for locals. I use a lower PS. 10 is good enough for me. If I recall, my therapy wasn't effective with a PS of 7-8, and a PS of 15 was a bit much. ASV takes some getting used to. I don't use the ramp at all.

For the s9s, the whistling sounds seems to come from the front where the motor wires go through a wedge in the silicone gasket. Sometimes you can gently pull the wires to change the sound.

My doctor recently recommended Ayr, a saline gel available at the local grocery store. Seems to work okay for irritated nasal passages.

default settings were a very choppy ride for me, but i needed a 9.2 to resolve obstructive apneas when using a regular cpap and it appears you may require quite a bit less pressure to resolve obstructive apneas. max pressure support of 15 can be a lot and would still be a lot for me, and 10 was good...

So what's the difference between the 2013 and 2015? the 2015 was sold a few minutes ago. the 2015 and 2013 are the same as far as i know or could tell, but the 2015 has higher number for SW software. Perhaps some data posts from SH would helpful...I keep my pressure support at a level that works for me, and avoid using full pressure support . It all depends on what you need to trigger a breath, I suppose. some people need as much pressure support as the machine can offer, some not so much.

after years if taping, I switched to a 3 inch soft cervical collar that is working fine. a stiffer 4 inch collar was too uncomfortable. just got tired of taping, I guess. lots of collars on amazon.
