Does this mean the vpap does not work for obstructive apnia, or will it work but it would require a higher pressure than you are comfortable with? Basically your EEP pressure, which is your base exhale pressure, or EPAP in regular BiPAP terms, has to be set high enough to clear the obstructives. Or...

I am going to try the Oil Cleansing Method -- if I can get my act together to gather the ingredients - LOL. ...my facial skin looks quite a bit younger than its 55 years. I did not ever think I would be grateful for those oily skin days....Too bad the skin on my arms and the backs of my hands was n...

I'm not aware of anyone dying directly from an apnoea episode i.e. dying from "holding your breath" while asleep. Maybe not from "holding your breath", but elderly persons or some with advanced certain neurodegenerative disorders, people can die from central apnea in their sleep without being arous...

Re: String elastic headgear?
Now there is an idea ... replacing your mask headgear with a thong. It would look similar to the headgear for the Adams Circuit But how do you explain the mask & the underwear on your head to the repair guy who shows up unexpectedly early? It would be pretty hard to get them to believe its for 'med...

Re: String elastic headgear?
I remember reading a post within the last month or so where someone said they had made a new headgear for their mask out of string elastic. This idea keeps rolling around in my head as to how cool something like that would be All I can picture is that you want a g-string head gear Actually, if you ...

Re: Stupid stuff
It's that I've gotten really good at accidentally putting non-perishables in the fridge . Not sure what I was thinking with the freezer ! That's just weird. It could be worse...think if you put deli meat or whatever in the cabinet instead of the fridge? ICK! That's when it goes from weird to being ...

Could be maybe some hard water build up on the mask from washing in tap water and air-drying. Very interesting. If the problem were oil, it would seem that a detergent (like baby shampoo or other soaps) would remove it. Vinegar is commonly used as a hard water stain cleaner. I use it to clean my co...

Re: I was so wrong....yes I said it! lol
So yes.....I was wrong. I now have a big bottle of vinegar in my bathroom cupboard. What until you try using it for cleaning other stuff too- its amazing what you can do with vinegar! My everyday kitchen & bathroom cleaner is 1 TBSP dish soap + 1 tsp washing soda + 1 tsp borax + 1/4 cup vinegar + e...

I caught one of them about to lie down on my mask when I took it off in the morning, so I turned the airflow on, and he bolted from the room and has not gone near it since. Chicken.... Mine does that occasionally with the end of the hose, but I have autostart enabled, and sometimes just blocking th...
