Re: Forum Administrators- Do your JOB,

without moderation, forums go downhill Oh bull crap. If you have your therapy under control, you can just go away and no longer be irritated by whatever is irritating you. I'm irritated by seeing people who come here for help, who don't say an unkind word to anyone else, many of whom are clearly de...

Re: Forum Administrators- Do your JOB,

Howdy, I don't think you really want me to do what you ask. It assumes I can use a heavy hand to "fix it". I can't. It'll be more broken and less free. The only way to win here is to be vigilant and have better ideas. I think CPAPtalk waxes and wanes. I've watched with great displeasure at some com...

Re: CPAP/Stroke-like symptoms: Help!?

Peter, I can't tell you how much I wish you the best, I've had some issues I've been trying to get to the bottom of and also had a "TIA like" event a year ago, not as bad as yours, as well as some face numbness and nerve issues. It's stressful and scary and frustrating. Sometimes such things reflect...

Re: Heartburn

Thanks for posting the links Granny, I avoided that because I wanted my disagreement to be about the author, not the poster who I think is trying to be helpful. But I should have included them for reference. rhodesengr, Are you spamming for someone? I don't think he/she is, I think they are just try...

Re: CPAP/Stroke-like symptoms: Help!?

It doesn't seem possible that this has anything to do with your CPAP use. You are only breathing air. I would continue searching for answers and I wish you the best. THIS X 100. Hopefully it's something that's not serious, but I would not wait just because they didn't find anything. Go to the hospi...

Re: Heartburn

NO ONE SHOULD BE FOLLOWING ANY ADVICE BASED ON THAT BOOK THAT WAS POSTED ABOUT, IT'S A CON JOB WRITTEN BY A QUACK. Sadly many of the most prominent quacks and snake oil salesmen managed to get medical degrees, and laymen read their BS and think they are getting legitimate medical advice. The book t...

Re: CPAP/Stroke-like symptoms: Help!?

I once knew a guy who had stroke-like symptoms with his migraines. Do you have a history of migraines? Yes, and there is also something named "silent migraines", where people don't even know they have a migraine but can experience some stroke like symptoms. http://www.doctoroz.com/blog/leigh-vinocu...

Re: CPAP/Stroke-like symptoms: Help!?

I can't offer any help but do have a couple of questions. 1. Do you have any lingering effects after these incidents? Drooping eyelid etc.? Or do they just completely go away? 2. How long does it take for the symptoms to go away? 3. Did you experience any confusion or difficulty speaking? I very ser...

Re: Pulse Oximeter

Here is a thread I found that migh t help. http://www.cpaptalk.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=79395&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=15 It's a couple years old and unfortunately not definitive because the person who claimed to get it working never reports back. So hopefully someone will comment in your new thread here...

Re: My CPAP Treatment Journey

Heart Jumping, My surgery was a Septoplasty with bilateral turbinate reduction. The septoplasty fixes the deviation (mine was 70% blocked). The turbinates are some membranes in your nose that basically condition (filter and humidify) the air that you breath. As we age the turbinates (like the rest ...

Re: Where can I find a more "attractive" mask?

It's the man (or woman) that makes the mask. Here's a picture of me wearing my mask.

Re: DreamWear Vs Tap Pap

Can't comment on the Tap Pap, I have the Dreamware and love it. The lack of something hanging off my face is just amazing. I am not exaggerating when I say I've had instances where I wake up and can't tell that I have a mask on my face, that's how good it is. There are a couple of long threads on it...
