Maybe you are just moving up on the learning curve.

Re: Worried about extreme tightness in chest during day

A couple of weeks before I first met with a sleep doc, I went to the ER with trouble breathing (this is what later caused me to seek out a sleep doc). They took an xray, put an O2 monitor on my finger and waited (oh and blood work) then they discharged me with a shrug, nothing said about sleep apne...

Re: Worried about extreme tightness in chest during day

I strongly suggest you follow that "go to the doctor" advice. She already has an appointment with her doctor today. BTW, there is a downside to this type of over caution. I have four friends who have had unnecessary heart catheterizations. There is the high cost, the risk of an invasive procedure a...

Which settings and mask did you use?

To what do you contribute the improvement in AHI and leak?

Re: Excessive night urination

I find SirNoddinoff's advise is usually very helpful If his advice is so important, he should have initiated a separate thread. Needlessly scaring a 34-year old whose night peeing is eliminated by CPAP is not nice. I agree with the post that said if the problem is only at night, that is a sure sign...

True.

According to studies summarized by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services,
Endoscopy performed in the office setting is safe when done with appropriate monitoring and in the proper patient population.

Here is one example of what scientists and farmers have to deal with that is coming from the natural-is-better crowd. This was a post on the wall of Food Babe (Vani Hari). The poster name has been deleted to protect her identity. You can see the poster has done her own experiment and she experienced...

Re: Successful AHI reduction with APAP + TheraVent

BTW, What Theravent does is increase the nasal pressure on exhale. So does CPAP. CPAP also increases the nasal pressure on inhale. And the CPAP process is controlled and adjustable. I'll stick with CPAP.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fkhGXVdjxL0 I only need to listen to the first 30 seconds before I closed the tab. The Butyeko view is that snoring is a reaction of your body to try to reduce your breathing, restrict it and hold on to carbon dioxide. If Butyeko is foolish enough to believe that, I ...

Re: Successful AHI reduction with APAP + TheraVent

You are using one product which reduces the flow of air exhaled and then using CPAP which is supposed to enhance the flow of air in and out. I don't see much success for this... in fact I think it is kind of nuts. You are potentially increasing the amount of CO2 in your system which is a nice way t...

Re: Q-Tube In-Line CPAP Muffer Kit

I don't know what the big deal is, probably because I have always slept well with a fan running.

But anyway, my machine hardly makes any noise.

Why do they spell it muffer? Maybe trademark issues?

Are you aware that a case containing a CPAP, hose and mask is considered medical equipment and doesn't count toward your carry on allowance?
