Re: Still tired!

Can you describe your wakeup and/or stop treatment experience? Yeah, I wake up needing to go to the bathroom, really badly. Because the walk to the bathroom is so rousing by the time I get back to bed I am almost as wide awake as during the day. This makes it extra hard to fall asleep with the mask...

Re: Still tired!

You MUST use it when ever you sleep or it won't help. Really? My RT and Doctor both said that anything more than 4 hours 70% of nights had no additional positive effects. Hi. Can you clarify if the hours you used the machine are your total sleep hours That is hours on the machine. I usually sleep a...

Still tired!

So I have been using my BiPAP for a month (after using CPAP for about 2 months before that) it took me an extremely long time to adjust to it and be able to sleep more than an hour or two without waking up. However the last 12 days I have used it for 4-5 hours on 9 of the nights and for 6-8 hours on...

Re: Sore nose!

Just to be clear, I am talking about soreness on the exterior of my nose, not my nostrils.

Sore nose!

So after almost a month of on and off attempts I fell asleep! Now I woke up in the middle of the night with a very sore nose. Do I need a larger mask? What can I do until I get a larger mask?

Re: CPAP pressure and airflow timing

New problem, after about 10 minute it started increasing airflow about halfway through my exhale every time for about 1 second. This made it impossible to fall asleep.

Re: CPAP pressure and airflow timing

Well it looks like the System One Resistance setting was not adjusted correctly. I am now having a much better time. I am going to try ramping from 4 to 6 cm over 45 minutes with aflex off (though even when on at 6 cm it is much more tolerable!) Thank you guys very much I would not have gotten this ...

Re: CPAP pressure and airflow timing

My mask did not come with a manual, but I am experiencing more pressure than is comfortable when exhaling so that could be an issue.

Re: CPAP pressure and airflow timing

The dislay for pressure on the screen remains constant. Guess it is the airflow that is changing and not the pressure.
