Re: More Tired Now than when I started CPAP a Year Ago.
Just a thought that perhaps his average pressure is too low. Suggest that OP purchase an overnight pulse oximeter and monitor his 02 sats and desats- insufficient 02 might play a role in his tired state. Of course, OP has not provided info as to his lab titration and optimal pressure derived from i...

Re: My First Two Nights
Grace, Just wanted to say I'm glad that your are having an easy go at CPAP so far . As for the dry nose what I have done is gradually increase my humidity setting every 3 or 4 nights to find the correct setting for me. I also use a bit of Flonase if I find I have alot of dried mucas (AKA buggers) fo...

the above post by Jimmycrackhorn should be deleted b/c of language. it was already reported to the administrator. @ Avi123 while yes Jimmycrackhorn did use a little colorful language he wasn't using it frivolously. He was using it to convey his deep frustration, a frustration that I'm sure all of u...

Re: Not Trying to Stir Up Trouble...But...
Grace, Just wanted to commend you on doing your own research into what is the best therapy for YOUR situation. Too many times people get hooked on this or that without ever researching for themselves. Can CPAP be the answer to your sleep woes? Yes. Can improving your sleep hygiene be the answer? Yes...

Re: Reformed Bear makes progress! SleepyBear's CPAP Journey
Hey just wanted to swing by with a quick update... So I have been consistently using "Snuffy" for 30 days! There have been some nights when I've forgotten to put her on hence I'm only at 50% compliance . But even that has made me feel a lot better. My goal for the next 30 days is to get at least 75%...

Re: do you have faith in Homeopathy?
I know this will fall on deaf ears but I believe that if you believe something you should say it. I don't know much about homeopathic medicine but I know plenty about naturalistic and traditional medicine and what I know is this, neither is better than the other, both can kill you IF you have a quac...

Re: Reformed Bear makes progress! SleepyBear's CPAP Journey
Is it possible that if you are taking some meds for the pain/headache issues that they have potential side effects that could be messing with sleep and/or dreams? Not sure Pugsy. I can post a list of meds I'm taking if that'll help you provide information, but off hand I don't think any of them do ...

Ninety-nine probably falls out of most of their spam advertising. At 100, they must swich over to Pony Express Spam delivery. BTW: i am 10 years older than dirt. When dirt was found, my mom made me go out and plant a garden in it. Jim ROTFLMAO. I used to tell my mom she was older than dirt and that...

Re: Reformed Bear makes progress! SleepyBear's CPAP Journey
Hey Everyone, Just wanted to drop in and say "hi" and let you know I'm still kicking Apnea butt! I've been trying to be consistent and will try and post my stats this weekend for anyone who is interested. I fell off the "CPAP wagon" for a few days but I'm back on it. (Had some depression from dealin...

Re: Reformed Bear makes progress! SleepyBear's CPAP Journey
@ Palerider, I plan on moving up to Sleepy Head but I wanted something simple that gives me just the basics while I'm getting used to CPAP. I seem to learn better when I take it one step at a time. @ Jankintz, It's OK I don't feel too roughed up . I do understand tough love my Mom was an advocate of...

Re: Have you ever experienced OSA headaches?
Enchanter, I really hope you find some help with your headaches as I know that having your head threatening to split open can affect everything in your life . I do have one question for you though, have you seen a headache specialist or a neurologist yet? Perhaps there is something more going on her...

Re: Anybody just give up?
Dssquared, Just wanted to say you are not alone in your frustration and desire to give up. I was diagnosed five months ago (closer to six now) and received my CPAP around three to four months ago. I tried it for about a week and then got frustrated and banished it to the floor beside my nightstand. ...

Re: Vitamin D
I take a prescription of 1 Vitamin D of 50,000 units per week. My last blood test in June of last year was 42. The doctor renewed my prescription at that time. Good Luck getting it all figured out. I wish you well... +1. And I have found my daytime sleepiness decreasing after two weeks of the suppl...
