Re: Air getting into eyes
After eliminating other issues with your doctor. You could try swimming goggles to seal your eye sockets off from the world. It's cheaper than surgery and reversible. You can take them off every morning.

Re: Smoking interfering with CPAP therapy
If it is related to IP addresses more likely they have a common internet service provider(Xfinity, Century Link, Verizon, ?) or common transit provider (Cogent, Level 3, Tata, ?)
I'm a smoker that's using Xfinity for my ISP. if anybody wants to dig into it further.

Question for Dreamwear mask users
Currently I use a P10 nasal pillow mask. When the air tube is close to my temples or ears I hear a lot of tube noise, I then wake up and move it to keep it quiet. With the split tube of the Dreamwear mask running between the temple and ear is this airflow noise constant?

Re: Cpap and breast pump bag for travel?
I would look into some sort of camera bag with the adjustable dividers. But Measure your equipment so you know what volume bag you will need. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I13BDDU/ref=s9_acsd_top_hd_bw_bE2Uz_c_x_2_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-4&pf_rd_r=XPZNT13SXY4CGQ555...

Re: Waiting for CPAP-what ? should I ask?
The follow up to the sleep test with the doctor will address which type you get, Apap, BIpap, ect. NOT ASK, DEMAND a fully data capable machine that records every breath you take each night!

Re: Lack of OSA Public Awareness
Are you doing your part? Talking to your family members at holidays? I find that people that need to be tested are ashamed that they are going to be marked "Fat", because only "Fat" people get diagnosed. I remind them yes I'm fat, but they are the one sawing logs in the corner at family gatherings, ...

Re: Missed Compliance by One Day
But if you did use it but only 4 hrs a day (not enough for anybody to be successfully treated) you would have passed the compliance. Something is a miss... Either there is a machine trust issue. A system performance issue. (poorly fitted mask, bad pressure settings) or a Spousal support issue. Did I...

Re: Missed Compliance by One Day
Sounds like you need to watch some tv or read with it on to be awake to either learn to trust the machine or be awake to discover what is wrong and why you are unable to use it.
Compliance is only a number of hours in a day not when you use it or if you are sleeping.

Re: C-pap and chapped eyes
I can think of 2 cpap related reasons for having chapped eyes. 1 The current mask seals poorly and leaks into you eyes. A possible solution may be to try a new cushion or readjust your seal, use a mask liner made from an old thick cotton tee shirt or use swimming goggles or suntan goggles to shield ...

Re: Fine white powder in used machine
My bet is talc or cornstarch. lots of people use it to prevent chafing. My mothers room had a thick layer on the back sides of hanging picture frames when we cleaned out her house.

Re: camping: long cord to car?
What will you do if the calculations are not correct and drain the car battery in the first night? If you drain the car battery to the point that the Cpap shuts down it definitely won't have the juice to start the car. You may have to go without the cpap the second night waiting for a jump. Use a se...

Re: Very first night tonight!
Don't let bed time be your first experience with it. Set it up and watch tv or read a book with it on. Put it on and don't sleep with it learn to trust it awake. it will make sleeping with it easier.

Re: Tell me it's not in my head!
It's Probably in your head... and neck! I would advise against the oral appliance without another sleep study. You said the last one was in 2013? Are you still a mild? With your given job status it sounds like cost is a factor. Start with investing in an Auto PAP machine that can give you data. Ther...
