Re: Recently diagnosed with sleep apnea
After my disastrous beginnings with an awful sleep clinic visit and being totally overwhelmed when I received my machine, I was pretty pissed off at this whole process. I talked about just saying forget it and moving on with my life, sleep-deprived and sick all the time. Yes, I get it!! I have been...

Re: Recently diagnosed with sleep apnea
LOL! I was talking to someone about this just before I started on the CPAP. I have been through a few rounds of this, thinking that this procedure or that test will reveal the magic fix. So far, nothing. It sucks, but I just keep on trying. If your numbers are looking good, maybe it is just a matte...

Re: Recently diagnosed with sleep apnea
Second, once you start treatment, don't be discouraged if you don't see immediate improvements (let's hope you do though ). I came on here my first day and was reading about how so many people felt better their first day, and subsequently expected myself to feel better immediately, but after 6 week...

Re: Recently diagnosed with sleep apnea
I had pretty much all the same symptoms for a year or so before having a sleep study done and being told I have sleep apnea last year. But thinking back, I can't really remember a time when I have felt refreshed in the morning, so who knows how long I've had *something* going on with my sleep. I als...

Sorry, that guest up there was actually me, not knowing how to work the internet today.

Re: Poll: How Old Are CPAP Users?
I'm 39 and have just started on CPAP not too long ago, but have possibly had these issues for years now.

Re: What in the world does this mean??
Okay, I think I'm not exactly sure how to zoom in on the desired area. On this particular night, I believe the gap happened around 3:52am. So this is what I see in SH: http://i.imgur.com/64HS8Y1l.png Is that right? Are you able to re-order the graphs? The third one down seems to be blank, not sure w...

Re: What in the world does this mean??
Well now it seems to be working! I think so, anyway. It had been giving me an error about my machine not being supported and then it wouldn't show me anything. This morning I tried running it again and it did give me the same error, but then it loaded my data. So I assume it's working?? Now I'm not ...

Re: What in the world does this mean??
LibbyLou, It would be much easier to match up the appropriate part of the leak data with the missing wave flow if you would load the data into SleepyHead. I occasionally see this kind of weirdness when my leaks are well above normal, but are still "small" enough to not be flagged as official Large ...

Re: What in the world does this mean??
I don't see a large leak flag and I don't see anytime where the leak was anywhere near big enough for the machine to lose track of things. I would suspect a little firmware writing to the SD card glitch. I think the usual suspects "the aliens" are what we are going to have to call it. This flow rat...

Re: What in the world does this mean??
Take a look at the SD card for this session and see if there is only one xxx.005 file for the night. If there are two of them, then the CPAP restarted writing the wave data for some reason. I looked at the data and see only one xxx.005 file for last night, and the other night (well, morning) when i...

Re: What in the world does this mean??
It seems to mean that you lost about 4 minutes of wave form data in the middle of a session. The wave data is written to the SD card in a different file (xxxx.005) than the other data (xxxx.001 & xxxx.002) so some error in recording there will not effect the other data. Take a look at the SD card f...

What in the world does this mean??
I have tried to take a little break from posting like crazy about my data, but this is the second time over the past few days I've seen this. There was no mention on the report of any instance of breathing not being detected, so what is this gap in the waveform? http://i.imgur.com/HeylB29l.png My AH...
