Re: recording oximeter to upload to iMac

from what I can tell, they are all designed for Windows. However, I have had had luck using wineskin to download and install the driver (remember to reboot the mac after installing the driver) for the CMS D50+, then using sleepyhead to import the data. HTH

Re: Dry eyes

First, ditto the hot wash cloth, washing eyes morning and night, and all of the above suggestions by Physician. In addition, have you checked in with your eye dr? It is possible to injure your eyes due to dry eye (btdt). Also, just a thought, but very dry eyes can be a sign of something else other ...

Re: Experimenting with aromatherapy during sleep

I use scents on occasion, placing them on a cotton ball, or a felt ball near the air intake. I purchased my essential oils from etsy - both "pure" and some "mixes" that sounded appealing. I haven't really "studied" my results, though. I have found, thankfully, that putting a little essential oil "mi...

Re: extremely dry mouth causing awakening

Yes, ditto Pugsy, dental issues are a concern, but I've not had skin issues. I didn't find relief with the disks, but I am doing better with a gel that I found on amazon, called simply GC dry mouth gel. I smear it all round my mouth before bed, and wake relatively ok in the mornings, instead of seve...

Re: Pulse Oximetry Recording Software for Mac

I have found that using wineskin to get the CMS50D+ driver installed (don't forget to reboot your Mac after you install the driver) and then using Sleepyhead is working for me.

Yeah, I was gonna mention that my old Misfit tracked sleep states, and now my new Garmin Vivofit HR tracks deep, light and awake.

Re: Autoset 10 - does it have to be in APAP to record CSB?

Pugsy - no, I hadn't (yet) considered c-spine headaches, but I will now! I'll start by paying closer attention to how I sleep, etc. I already have a "special" contoured pillow, but maybe it's time for a new one? I'll start to pay more attention to my neck in the mornings. - Oh! A pulse ox , I can do...

Re: Autoset 10 - does it have to be in APAP to record CSB?

Thanks for checking Pugsy and OkyDoky!!! I think that makes sense, that it won't show up until it happens once. I really am starting to think my morning headaches/fatigue are related to something outside of sleep apnea. My AHI has been consistently below 3 for quite awhile now. FWIW, we have tried o...

Checked in Preferences - it is checked there. Here is a pic of where it is "missing":

Re: Autoset 10 - does it have to be in APAP to record CSB?

It's my understanding that CSR Cheyne Stokes Respiration is available in both modes. So I would assume since you aren't seen it flagged then it isn't happening and that's why it is absent on the SH reports. I have the AirCurve 10 model and I don't see CSR shown on the graphs and I am fairly certain...

Autoset 10 - does it have to be in APAP to record CSB?

Hi all, been away awhile! So, I've been using my machine for nearly TWO YEARS now! (go me!) But I'm still struggling with fatigue (boo!). It may be unrelated (recently diagnosed with Sjogren's Syndrome - big boo! -- but I have some ideas for dry mouth, my current favorite is a gel from amazon called...

Re: bed wedge

My only advice for others who may decide to go with a wedge to spare a bed partner from raising the entire bed - get a second leg support pillow, something like this: http://c.shld.net/rpx/i/s/pi/mp/1382/prod_3588245613?src=http%3A%2F%2Fecx.images-amazon.com%2Fimages%2FI%2F31fQNejVyrL._SLX75_.jpg&d=...

Re: Low O2 while sleepy/before falling asleep?

No other health conditions that should cause a fall in O2. Although, something is going on, and I'm following up with my cardiologist today. After that "normal" blood pressure this morning, I started feeling really "off". Rested, but that didn't help. Decided on a whim to take my vitals again. BP av...

Re: Low O2 while sleepy/before falling asleep?

Good question! It's been running low for awhile, (low being less than 90/60) before the diagnosis. With the meds I'm on now it's running 100s/70s -ish most of the time. Of course I didn't think to check yesterday when I was drifting off to sleep but that morning it had been about that (98/70 - I usu...
