Sandman DuoST -- Need Unlock help

I am a very long time CPAP user, who has misplaced his Clinician manual for the Puritan Bennett Sandman DuoST.
I need to unlock the menu system. I understand all the consequences of changing settings. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

TAP 3 and Bi-level

Dr. Krakow,
Have you noticed (in the lab) how dramatically the pressures
needed to achieve good sleep, drop with the introduction of a
nice dental appliance like the TAP 3? Do you give your patients
the opportunity to explore this possibility?

You would be a great candidate for the Silent Nite/TAP

Talk to your Dentist about wearing a mouthguard or Dental
Device in your mouth at night. If you are a very mild case,
you might just have another treatment option to explore.

Unfortunate as it may be, not all of us can find that one perfect
solution to a complex medical problem.

It takes time and patience

plus a lot of trial and error. I screwed around six months, until I
became a true lab rat. Now I screw around with things out of curiosity,
not because I am desperate and feeling lously, like I was initially.

Analysis of Oximeter Data

Rested Gal, From looking at your Oximeter results I can tell that you are both a smoker, and that you don't get out and run a whole lot. Your baseline O2 levels would be higher without the cigarettes. I have an oximeter and made everyone in my extended family sleep with it so I could compare data. I...

Any Oximetry experts on list?

My Doctor performed a 2 night Oximetry study on me. He used a FingerPrint Sleep Oximeter device as described at: http://www.smiths-medical.com/catalog/sleep/software/fingerprint-sleep-hand-held.html Here are the results from the first night: Total Sample Time: 07:03:40 Lowest SpO2 80% occured at 01:...

You are going to be one very busy bee

There are people out there who need help with alcohol, drugs, losing
weight, managing finances, etc. Hopefully a statement from a total
stranger may jolt them into getting some help. However, some folks
may tell you to go jump in the lake!

Best of luck Dan! Keep us informed of your progress

Dental devices work for some folks. CPAP works for some folks. Be grateful that you have choices! Get educated and be your own advocate for your health. If you read enough forums you can find people who have strong opinions just about anything. My world has all kinds of color in it. Some folks have ...

No moderator!! (Girls just want to have fun)

Keep an open mind and let everyone express their views. Do we
really want to steer everyone to the same machine and same mask?
In reality, we are all unique and can add tremendous value by sharing
our experiences with others.

New CPAP record set!

This is very, very sad. I heard today that CPAP machines have passed the
Nordic Track device as the Number One item folks kept in their closet.
Why do so many people not use their Nordic Track? Most people do
not see the value to saving their life that both the CPAP and Nordic Track
provide.

Sounds like a monkey trying to titrate a PAP box

If your dentist didn't actually titrate your dental device, then you indeed got ripped off. Just imagine if my Doctor gave me a CPAP set at 4 and made me visit him for 3 weeks in a row, each time increasing the pressure by 1 point. Finally he declares I am all set! Sounds to me like CPAP doesn't wor...

You look like a great candidate for a

Dental Device. One like the SilentNite could initially be used in conjunction with your 420e and then later you might find that you have no need for the 420e. That's what happened to me. It is so great to be able to have so many choices of different masks and different machines to find the best comb...

Read carefully!!

Dental Device was non-adjustable!! To get the best results from a great Dental Appliance it should be "titrated" just like PAP machine. Read the ending statement carefully!! Dental Device was slightly less effective means the user doesn't suffer with air swallowing, getting tangled with hose all nig...
