Re: FF masks without support on the forehead! A real mystery !!!

My favorite mask is Resmed Mirage Quattro FF. I bought a Airfit F10 and a Mirage Quattro FX FF. Both masks without support forehead. I wear them faithfully respecting the instructions but it's not good! During sleep, both slide towards masks on until the base of the nose, and reach to touch my eyes...

Re: How often to replace a mask or nasal pillow?

I've been using my P10 for about 18 months. The headgear and base are fine. I've changed the pillows about 3 times during this period. I've noticed that the newest set seem to be lasting longer since I keep them away from direct sunlight. With that said, I don't have any factual data to support my a...

Re: pressure setting

The lowest the machine will go is 4cm. Most people have a feeling of suffocation on pressure settings below 8cm. There's nothing from stopping you from increasing the pressure. I would highly recommend you get SleepyHead software and review your sleep patterns before making any adjustments. I have a...

Re: Dreadful experience of CM50D+ for new user

The CMS-50D+ doesn't have an on board clock. In SleepyHead, as you are importing the oximeter's data, you have the option to use the date and time from a sleep session to sync with. You must import the data from the CPAP prior to importing the oximeter data.

Re: OT: Daily Funny bone

Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger were discussing about going to the upcoming "Dress as your favorite composer costume party".

Sylvester Stallone said he was going as Beethoven.

Bruce Willis said he'd be Brahms.

Arnold Schwarzenegger said "I'll be Bach".

Re: CPAPfit Pillow - Trial Offer for Feedback & Reviews

I have been using the latest design of this pillow for about a month and I'm impressed. My observations are based on using the prior design version. The new pillow is lighter than its predecessor. The new design incorporates a thicker quilted cover making it quieter. I never had any problems with th...

Re: Given the wrong machine?

The DreamStation is the newer P-R model that supersedes the System One . I hope I understood your post correctly. . . Or are you meaning that you received a straight CPAP rather than the auto titrating model?

Re: Unusual Sleep Arousal

You might wish to add the 20% and 50% flow restriction option to your SleepyHead reports. These 2 parameters can show activity that is below the normal event threshold but affect our sleep quality. Here is how you activate it: File->Preferences->CPAP tab. Check the Custom CPAP User Event Flagging bo...

Re: airlift p-10 is there a better alternative

While I'm still a P10 fan, the new DreamWear nasal pillow (tray?) is very nice. Instead of inserting prongs in the nasal passages for air delivery, this unit provides a tray that seals around the bottom of the nose. The supply connector swivels and is a located on top of the headgear. Air is supplie...

Re: Looking for a pulse oximeter

One side note about the 50D+ for consideration (i.e: not a game changer). Several apnea site posts suggest that the user of this model, tape it on for better reliability and readings. The reason for this is because this unit is bulkier (and heavier) due to everything located at one place.

Re: DreamWear mask is now pre order at cpap.com

I just got my DreamWear. The DreamWear, that I received, has the medium headgear with the small, medium, medium wide, and large nose piece. The instructions state "to use the smallest nose piece that will work for you". It has a sizing guide which is straight forward. It also comes with an optional ...

I'm curious; Where does your Oximeter get its date from? The results show that they were recorded in 2001.
