Re: CPAP for someone in need
I've got 2 backup machines. My dad only uses his half the time, maybe, and the VA would get him a new one right away if his failed. We're covered! That's why I'm trying to send it to someone who really needs it, I've seen people post on here occasionally of need. I'll get the run hours tomorrow some...

CPAP for someone in need
Hello, I have a ResMed S9 with the H5i humidifier my dad used to use that he no longer needs (upgraded to a new CPAP). I am interested in giving this to someone in need. I'd like you to pay shipping unless you really can't pay that also. We don't have anything but the machine and power cord, as well...

Airfit P10 vs Nuance Pro
Hello all, I've been using the Airfit P10 for about 2 years now. Usually works well, as it gets older I think, or dirty, it works less well, but overall is acceptable. I hate how loose the blue/grey part gets. The clips help until I lose them, and then it's lose again. I was looking on Amazon to pur...

Re: ResMed S9 Climate Hose Question
Thank you all for your replies! It appears (after 3 nights usage) that actually turning the heated tubing ON, that mostly solved the problem! It appears as though the setting was "OFF", so I had a really expensive, useless hose! Whoops. Thanks for all the advice though for whenever I use my home mac...

Re: ResMed S9 Climate Hose Question
Ok, So I'm hoping modifying the climate settings will help, because either I'm slow (quite possible) or I'm misunderstanding people. From my mask to my hose should be a continuous downward slope someone said. No loop above my head, and not on the floor. The problem is, my area is as wide as my bed a...

Re: ResMed S9 Climate Hose Question
Ok every, thanks for the replys so far. Sorry it took a bit, being at home with 3 kids it's much harder to reply then when at the fire station! Haha. A few things. I have Sjogren's syndrome, which leads to dry mouth, so I'm not really that worried about dry mouth. I have no clue how to change the he...

Re: ResMed S9 Climate Hose Question
My hose frequently goes all sorts of ways. It's usually lying on the floor at the station that is colder, as the beds make it harder to raise it. Maybe I'll have to put a hook to hook the hose above my head? Confused by what you mean?? If you run part of the hose higher than your mask, you increase...

Maybe I'll have to put a hook to hook the hose above my head? I adjust frequently, but do need quite a bit of humidity. I get dry mouth if it's not high e...

ResMed S9 Climate Hose Question
Hello, I have a ResMed S9 Autoset CPAP that I (with the assistance of this group) setup a few years ago. Overall it works pretty well. I use the Climate control hose, and when I plug it in it tells me the climate hose is connected. I use this primarily at the fire station, which has some poor sleepi...

Re: Repairing a machine
what black rubber seal? there's a large clear silicone seal in the lid that seals the entire chamber, you don't even have to have the water tank in the humidifier. There is a black rubber gasket like thing around the circle shaped opening on the humidifier where the CPAP part goes in. It's by the p...

Re: Repairing a machine
Just in case it's something else, try it without the humidifier attached. Disconnect the humidifier, attach the hose directly to the cpap, and see if the noise is still present. I tried that last night, it is still noiser than my home machine, but WAY better. Which is what makes me think it's just ...

Repairing a machine
Hello all, The ResMed S9 AutoSet with the H5i humidifier that I got for free a few months ago has an issue. It is VERY VERY VERY noisy all of a sudden. It sounds like air is leaking. I'm 99% sure it is the humidifier's black rubber seal - it is bent and twisted a bit. I try smoothing it out, and the...

Re: Questions about using two machines and advice
Well, I used the AirFit P10 mask and machine for the first time last night. Slept the entire night, no major problems noted, but I haven't looked at the data yet. (I'd lose the card if I took it out since the machine will stay at the fire department always, so I'll check next shift). I will probably...

Re: Questions about using two machines and advice
Hello again. I've got almost everything figured out! Mask and tubing ordered online and on its way. (DME was WAY more expensive as I expected, and even with a discount for cash still more than online.) Anyone know where I can obtain a clinical manual for my Remstar Auto? I'd like to compare one feat...
