Re: AHI
find a kid running around the neighborhood, you know how kids and computers are. Hahaha - great advice there, PR. That's going to be my response from now on when anyone I know has computer troubles... Sharhamm - in the meantime, while you're searching for a good kid to help you with sleepyhead, you...

Re: Turns Out You CAN Learn to Breathe Through Your Nose
Thanks for sharing this, it gives me hope. I'm still not sure if I'll be able to get the nasal mask to work since, during my first in-lab sleep test, I didn't keep my mouth closed even with the chin strap. Did the chin strap work for you during your sleep test? I've really struggled with FFMs - I've...

Re: Morphine, OSA and kids
I had my tonsils out when I was 23 and it was the worst pain in my life (up to that [pre-childbirth] point). I existed on nothing but slushies for at least 2 weeks. I think they gave me hydrocodone syrup, but it's all a haze. The tonsillectomy was totally worth it though, because I was getting tonsi...

Re: Is Pugsy still around?
Oh my gosh, Tatoo, that is hilarious! I've always thought that animals had a sixth sense that we humans often ignore (in ourselves). Glad for you to have those two "winners" out of your life... And regarding the diagnosis - apparently I may be the first human to give birth to both a (talking) dog an...

Re: GD DME...
If I could figure out how to earn $300 an hour in my career as an environmental scientist, I really would have something figured out, huh?! I might even be willing to pay all of the DME's erroneous charges, because, heck, I could afford it!
And I'm sure they felt it belonged to them.

Re: Is Pugsy still around?
The more I think about that, the more freaked out I am getting about how similar my children are to dogs and cats. When I come home, my hyper child is jumping around me, hugging me, just SO happy that I'm home, while my autistic child barely has the concern to turn his head & acknowledge that I've r...

Re: Is Pugsy still around?

Re: Gastric insufflation and ASV
I've benefitted hugely from ASV unicorn farts, but I still have aerophagia, gastric insufflation, swallowing air, or the precursor to human farts (whatever you want to call it). Granted it has improved, but I think that's primarily due to making improvements in the positioning of my head (I started ...

Re: Is Pugsy still around?
I had a cat who would occasional pee on my dog's bed just purely to f*** with her. My poor sweet dog would just sit there staring at her bed shivering and whimpering. I'd say if a little cat pee can create such a reaction, there's got to be a little space dust in there somewhere. For the record, I l...

Re: Dreams :(
Since we're talking about police run-ins - in the mid-90s I was pulled over on my way home after performing in summer theater (paid, I might add [brush off shoulder]) in small-town Texas (actually, the musical's name was Texas), and we got pulled over for no particular reason. The officer didn't giv...

Re: GD DME...
It's true - there are many customers who would have just said "oh well, it's not worth the hassle. I'll just pay." The fact that I got them to remove the charges after only an hour on the phone (seems like a lot, but I know the possibilities) makes it pretty clear that they knew what they did was wr...

Change that "p" to an "h" in scared spitless, and yup... I'm right there with you I don't miss that fun experience one bit.I had some episodes (don't remember a count) like that, where I'd have a nightmare and jolt awake, and be scared spitless, and be frozen....

Re: What mask wipes do you use?
I had been putting some alcohol on a cotton ball because I *assumed* that the individually-wrapped alcohol wipes (the kind that come in first aid kits) would be too spendy, but I actually got a pack of 200 for about 3.50 at Rite Aid, so I think that's actually cheaper than the alcohol & cotton ball ...

Re: GD DME...
Well, I feel like I may be dreaming, so you guys can tell me if this post is actually here, but DME just called me and said that they agreed that they should credit me all the supplies they gave me on that day. What-the-WHAT!? I'm not going to jinx it. What a relief! I guess things do go your way ev...
