Re: The link between Low T, Sleep, and OSA
So whats weird about the hormones is that I was not sleeping well before I was treated for low T. So its like the egg before the chicken here.
Treat low T sleep better, but if you get better sleep your T levels should improve.

The link between Low T, Sleep, and OSA
I have mild to moderate OSA and use cpap setting on 10. I also was diagnosed with Low T, around 270. I have been treating it with Androgel for the last 3 months and I'm feeling so much better. Here of late I have removed my mask in the middle of the night and my wife says I'm not snoring anymore. I'...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
That is so true about AHI. I've had a low AHI ever since going on cpap but was not going into the delta stages of sleep and therefore not well rested. Bringing my T levels back within normal range it allowing me to sleep much better for some reason. I think its important to look at your endocrine sy...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
I had the hematocrit checked it was normal, right in the middle of the range. I have picked up a little more weight as I had quite smoking last April. If I can get to the gym and diet some I might be able to bring BP down some. Sucks getting old...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
Now my blood pressure has gone up. Use to be low, now at 125/93 as I checked it on a machine at pharmacy.
Androgel can make this happen. I'm def sleeping better don't toss and turn as much.

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
4 pumps for 30 days got me to 671 total and 18.6 for free T. Both numbers are right in the middle of the range.
I have to use 2 bottles a month to keep levels up, better then shots. I just hope my head clears, give it another month and ask Endo to check my other levels via labs.

So labs are back, Free T is now 671 when using 2 pumps each side per day. Still have brain fog but do feel a bit more energy.
Sleeping better too.

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
I think my initial AHI was around 12-15 and is now under 1 with cpap treatment who knows if I drop the weight OSA may be reduced to a point that I don't need cpap. That would be great.

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
I'm about 40lbs over what I need to be at. Until I can control some of the fatigue from low T its hard to stay motivated to workout.
Cutting sugar would be the best and quickest way to drop the weight. But love that bread....tough...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
Malibu,
I'm going for labs next week to see what levels are now. I do feel a bit better but not where I need to be.
I am sleeping better now with continued cpap and Androgel treatment.
I really hope I don't need shots.

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
2 weeks today and I feel alittle better but still have brain fog. I don't have the sickly feeling so much as I did. My fear is that my level will come up but not enough to get rid of the fog. I have to use the product for another 2 weeks before I can do labs again. Someone here had mentioned its a v...

Re: Sleep Apnea and Low T for Men
Trying to resolve sleep problems can be a long battle. I've tried sleep aids even melotonin and it gives me that spaced out feeling the next day. Hard to measure how much sleep you really get when you toss and turn a lot.
