Re: DID YOUR SLEEP REPORT SAY HYPOXEMIC RESPIRATORY FAILURE?
Ditto ems! Why are some ppl so judgmental when someone is seeking help? I'd be scared shitless if I read that on my report, and while I would definitely speak to my doctor about it I probably would ask around to see if others had received similar news/information. Isn't that what this site is about?...

Re: Weird Question...but then I'm a weird person!
Thanks for all the responses! It doesn't matter what time I go to bed...I still want to stay there & experience that quality sleep. I can only compare it to a carnival ride you love, have been on 10 times in a row, and still you don't want to get off...keeping saying to yourself 'one more time! Addi...

Weird Question...but then I'm a weird person!
Hey Everyone! I was just wondering if any of you successful cpappers have found that once you start getting that quality sleep again if you have a hard time getting out of bed? I have noticed in the past couple months I just want to stay in bed & enjoy my sleep 'a little longer' b/c it feels so darn...

Re: I've seen the promised land!!!
Hi Cathy! I can relate to what you are saying! I am 6 months into treatment & can now sleep non-stop for an average of 8 hours! About 4 months in I began to notice I didn't have to get up to pee twice a night anymore & I was sleeping longer than a few hours at a time. Now I am consistently at 8 hour...

Re: Didn't use CPAP, now I have A-Fib
Welcome RuthArt! I also have Afib...persistent Afib...so I feel your pain! My cardiologist insisted I have a sleep study as she said afib was not so common for most folks under 60 and sleep apnea was linked to early afib. I am 57. I went for the sleep study, and was diagnosed with moderate to severe...

Re: Untreated apnea kills
RicaLynn, I am so sorry for your loss...losing a parent is among one of the most devastating things in life! I still miss by parent gone 5 & 11 years respectively... Please don't blame yourself. I was my father's primary caregiver & understand the need you had to take some time to yourself. I had a ...

WOW! This is awesome especially so early on!
I am now enjoying sleeping about 8 hours nightly with no bathroom trips after 5 months of C-papping. I feel SO much better!
Best wishes for continued success!

Re: when to rule out sleep apnea as a cause for nocturia?
Palerider....just following up on how you continue to amuse while sharing your knowledge. Alex reports major depression & anxiety. No doubt his mental health issues have an impact on how he thinks & feels. It is a vicious circle he may not be able to get out of with just 'advice' shared here on the ...

Re: when to rule out sleep apnea as a cause for nocturia?
Palerider commenting on 'normal...now that's a laugh! There are many factors that could be contributing to you having to get up to pee at night...since you seem to have ruled out many of them my thoughts would be 1) you haven't given your therapy long enough to work and 2) your anxiety about the sit...

Re: when to rule out sleep apnea as a cause for nocturia?
Palerider....I just love your sarcasm. I know many members find it obnoxious, but I appreciate a quick wit especially when it is helpful rather than hurtful. I did find it interesting, though, to see your google referral on the dreaded MALE rectal exam. Guess there are some areas you'd rather not to...

Re: when to rule out sleep apnea as a cause for nocturia?
Alex I am about 6 months into pretty consistent treatment. The first 4 months I continued with a minimum of at least 2 bathroom trips nightly despite limiting my fluid intake as suggested before bed. Then suddenly I was sleeping through the night with no need to pee! Anxiety and/or depression always...

Welcome! I am reading thru your posts about your symptoms...particularly the heart symptoms, and wanted to share my experience. I am also morbidly obese, but in my late 50's. About 10 years ago I began to have periods of a racing heart, but I thought they were anxiety as my father was ill & dying. I...

Re: Do CPAP users still feel the need for naps?
Hi Napnea! I am a little over 3 months in and take an hour nap almost daily. Some days I am just dog-tired and need to lay down and others I just feel like sleeping as I wake up energized. My C-pap therapy was pretty easy to adapt to from the start although I still have wakenings at night. But I alw...
