Re: How High Do You Fill You CPAP's Water Tank?
So I have learned a few things during this study. The water tank isn't marked in quarters, it's marked in thirds. And I really can use more water than I had been putting in the tank. If I fill to the top line it goes to the line below it in one night. And then the next night it goes lower still. It ...

Re: How High Do You Fill You CPAP's Water Tank?
I have been filling the tank halfway to the 1/4 line each night and it never has gone dry. Last night I filled it to the 1/2 line and it went down to the 1/4 line overnight, meaning that I used 1/4 tank, twice as much as usual. Tonight I'll start off with a full tank (to the full line) and see how l...

How High Do You Fill You CPAP's Water Tank?
I don't even fill it to the first line. I use humidity level 2. In the morning I dump out the remaining water and use fresh at night. But now I see in my CPAP's directions that it says to fill to maximum fill line. Is this really necessary?

Re: Snoring While Wearing Mask
The snoring was a few days prior to the flu. A precursor? The only way to know is if I wake myself up snoring again when I'm flu-less.
I can't answer the other question about percentage but sure, I could raise the pressure up to 9 or 10. No problem.

I am the same way with the jaw drop and chin strap. I finally tried taping my mouth shut and it works. I use the 2" 3M Micropore paper tape.

Snoring While Wearing Mask
I haven't been on this site in a couple of years. A few days ago I woke myself up snoring with my mask on. I have a ResMed AirSense 10 for her and use an AirFit P10 mask. I know that I must be doing something wrong with my settings but don't know where to start to adjust them. I am battling the flu ...

Re: Naso-Gastric Tube and CPAP in the Hospital
Thanks. I brought my own equipment and was never offered a FFM. As for the others referenced, I was too sick to mess with trying a mask that I don't ordinarily use. If I were to have to deal with this more often then I would buy the mask (since the hospital didn't offer one.)

I use tape over my mouth already. To me it sounded like snoring.

Naso-Gastric Tube and CPAP in the Hospital
Hi all, it's been a couple of years since I last posted. At the time I asked the forum about using my cpap with a naso-gastic tube. The consensus at the time was to let the respiratory therapists figure it out in the hospital. I had a chance to find out last month when I was hospitalized for four da...

Re: How often do you change water
I set the humidity level at 2 so use very little water at night. I fill the tank to about twice what I need (just in case I should use more) and every morning dump out the leftover water. I washed the tank when it was brand new and but then never wash the tank. It has never looked dirty or felt slim...
