Not to keep beating a dead horse, but one comment you made merits a reply. All our masks are produced in China by cheap labor and material and are not under any regulations from the USA. Any medical device, regardless of where it is actually manufactured, must meet FDA approval before it can be sold...

Titrator, Thanks for the questions, I was just going to post the same question myself. I'm headed back for a new sleep study next week, and I want to be better armed this time around. When I went a year ago and was diagnosed, I really have no idea what the results were other than I was given a CPAP ...

I wasn't going to comment on this, but since its gone on for so long, thought I'd put my 2 cents in. I don't entirely disagree with you sthnreb & maskedman, mask prices are high, and I hate how once you buy one to try, you own it forever, regardless of whether it works for you or not. Somebody needs...

Thanks rested gal, pretty much what I was thinking as well. I've got an appointment for a new sleep trial next week, I'll suggest that. I already own my CPAP machine (remstar pro w/ cflex), not sure about being able to afford another machine, but we'll see, maybe they'll loan me one to try out, see ...

Getting tired again, am I rebounding?

Wondering if any of you have expirienced this. Started using my CPAP regularly about 8-10 weeks ago, switched from the ComfortGel to the Ultra Mirage II FF, pressure setting 12. Not immediate, dramatic change, but slowly started feeling better. People noticed an improvement, eyes clearer, seemed abl...

I use the ultra mirage FF, am a side sleeper and occasional night time rover, haven't had any problems yet, seems to work "for me". On the rain out issue, had that happen for the first time a couple of nights ago, woke both my wife & I up, the "burbling" sounds from the hose filling up. Not complete...

You guys have done a great job of making me feel way better, I guess comparitively, I'm pretty darn healthy. 37, diagnosed with OSA about a year ago. Besides the continuously tired feeling and depression that has come with that, no other major problems. Receding hair line, just had to get new glasse...

I have a mustache and full beard, and wear a full face mask. Besides the leaking issue that comes with that, I found with my old mask (just the nasal mask, like yours) did cause some discomfort with the upper lip. Tried the wax thing, same wax I used for my scuba mask. Seemed to help but was tough t...

I travel alot for work usually, and just came back from my first week on the road with my remstar. I like the bag it came with, no complaints at all. Got my Remstar Pro w/ heated humidifier, hose and mask in there with no problems at all, even carried the book I was reading in the pocket where manua...

I've got to agree with you Rested Gal, I don't take my mask apart either. I take my mask & hose into the shower with me every morning, rinse it well and wash it with a mild liquid soap (same soap I use on me), rinse my hose out and then leave them to dry on the shower rod all day. Once a week I take...

What's wrong with my shirt!?!?!

Hey, I like my tie-dies. Guess I'm just an old Dead Head at heart. Actually, my son bought me that one, I have others, but not quite as bright as that one. Taken at a party at a friends last summer, note the big old plate of ribs I'm eating. Maybe that's why I'm getting Dunlop disease (you know, my ...

My best guess is I have had it my whole life, it just never got "bad" enough for me to seek treatment until I got older, more out of shape. But I know my brother, who shared a bedroom with me 20+ years ago always used to complain of my snoring. I know that I have always hated mornings, that I can ne...

Yes, I have a FF mask, not sure if that's what's causing me to wake up or not yet. One thing I didn't post that is a possible/probable culprit is that I currently have a broken rib, broke it last week playing hockey (I'm getting too old for that apparently). The last 2 nights have been my first with...

I was actually going to ask the same question. I'm still a realative newbie at this, only at 140 hours on my machine, and 60 of that was almost a year ago. BC (before CPAP ), I rarely woke up during the night, or at least I never remembered waking up. Since I've been back on the mask, I know I wake ...
