If you have insurance, check out BillMyInsurance.com (part of CPAP.com) You can call them to see if they handle your insurance. They will need copies of your sleep studies and prescription. You may want to check with them before you see your doctor so you know exactly what you need from your doctor....

I have the ResMed S8 Vantage with the heated humidifier. The humidifier doesn't warm up until the 4 or higher setting. I didn't have any problems with rainout using the Swift with the humidity at 4, an occasional drop or 2. If the water level is decreasing, you are getting humidified air. If you sta...

I usually use the Breeze but it broke on me last night. I pulled out my CL2 which I purchased this summer but found too hot. With the cooler weather I was able to use it last night. When I first laid down, the weight of the hose pulled the mask out of alignment anytime I moved. The swivel part on my...

I have 2 machines - the S8 Vantage that I use every night; the S8 Escape -my backup. I have 5 masks: 1. Breeze that I use nightly. 2. Swift - I used until I found the Breeze - a side sleeper so the Breeze works better for me. 3. the CL2, used only a couple of nights during the summer, found it too h...

I've been using the Aussie for a week now. I like a cool room and run a fan plus the ceiling fan. I had my humidifier set at 3 to control rainout prior to the Aussie. I've used the Breeze, Swift and Aura. Got the worst rainout with the Aura. I've only used the Aussie with the Breeze so far and haven...

Got mine yesterday. Changed my humidifier setting from 3 to 4. No rainout! I would get drips up my nose previously if it was set at anything hire than 3. Hope it continues to work!

Prior to being diagnosed with sleep apnea, my doctor prescribed Lunesta. I used it for 2 months before taking my sleep tests. Decided to quit Lunesta after starting on CPAP. Suffered from insomnia for a few days after that. If I don't fall asleep within an hour of going to bed, I'll take an OTC like...

My problem with the Aura was excessive rainout. I went back to my Breeze, which I very rarely have a rainout problem with. I have ordered the heated hose, will give the Aura another chance when I get it.

I had that problem too. I took the straps from my comfortlite 2 and used them on my breeze. I used a ribbon to tie the CL2's back strap to the backplate on the Breeze. I've been using it for over a month now every night and it stays in place. It feels more stable and is easily adjusted if needed dur...

Suffering from insomnia caused to go to the doctor. I'm in my 50's and going through "the change" (sorry all you men out there). Insomnia is a menopausal symptom. Dr. prescribed Lunesta. Didn't work. Went back to the doctor. Sent me for a sleep study. Got xpap. Still suffering from insomnia but not ...

I have "moderately severe" apnea and was titrated at 6 cm. Only slept 3 hours during the titration portion of the sleep test. Was given a straight cpap from the dme - no choice, didn't see my prescription. I discovered this website after this happened and did a lot of reading. I decided to purchase ...

Never really had a problem with rainout until 2 nights ago. Been on xpap since early June. I use the Breeze. I turned over during the night and got a snoutful of water! That night was in the high 50's and I had 3 windows open - one with a fan, so it was cool in the room. My humidifier was on 4.5. I ...

Since being on xpap (June 2006) my appetite has been vociferous. I've gained 5 lbs! I asked my sleep doc about it. His comment was I am probably more active and my body is craving more food. I've also noticed my pressure go up during the last week or two - from about 8.8 to 10.4. I'm going to try to...

I have found a drastic reduction in bathroom visits since being on xpap since early June. Efore xpap - I was up every 2 hours at least - so 4 or so times a night. Now it varies between 0 and 1 and I think that 1 has to do the amount of liquids I had before going to bed.
