Re: Newbie with Airsense11 - SD card question
Unless the AS11 is different from previous RESMED offerings the machine won't tell you when it starts overwriting older data (i.e., the card is full). It doesn't take much of a guess to figure out how I know this. A good practice is to periodically download the card to OSCAR to prevent a loss of det...

Re: Flooded VAUTO
Drying it out seemed to do the trick, the last two nights passed uneventfully. On the lookout for a backup machine.

Re: Flooded VAUTO
So I believe the first water chamber developed a small leak on the bottom that allowed water to leak onto the humidifier heating pad. This probably has been going on for some time and at first, the leak was too small to draw a detailed inspection, I thought I was just sloppy on installation and remo...

Re: Flooded VAUTO
I was able to disassemble the humidifier area, there was a fair amount of water remaining that I removed. The electrical connector on the heating element is a bit discolored, hopefully the fuse is okay (no discoloration there). The machine is now drying out. Hopefully that will do the trick. The des...

Flooded VAUTO
I'm looking for advice on dealing with a VAUTO that has ingested water from a leaky water chamber. Details below: I have an Airsense 10 VAUTO and the water chamber developed a leak the other night leaking its entire contents into the VAUTO and onto the nightstand. At first, I thought I tipped over m...

Re: OSCAR Suggestions & Bug reporting
Bug I think
I'm using a new Aircurve 10 VAUTO, on the leftmost pane of the OSCAR screen it indicates that Climate Control in is "manual," however on the machine itself, climate control is in AUTO.

Re: full face mask
I initially tried a FFM, but AHIs remained high and I couldn't get the leaks to stop. Shifted to pillows and a chin strap, after about six months I didn't need the chin strap anymore. Now no leaks and AHI consistently below 1.5.

Re: Sneezing almost non-stop
Is your hose and mask clean? My wife had this problem, turns out she wasn't diligent about cleaning her gear, after changing the hose and mask the sneezing went away -- overnight so to speak.

Re: Resmed VPAP Adapt as backup
As they say if it sounds too good to be true then it probably isn't. CL seller was trying to convince me he had an Adapt, however the model number showed it to be an Elite. Oh well the hunt for a backup continues.

Resmed VPAP Adapt as backup
I've found a very good deal on an unused S9 VPAP Adapt while I was looking for a backup to my S9 Autoset. Recognizing that the Adapt is more capable than the Autoset I was wondering if there is any downside to having the Adapt as backup even though I don't need all of the features (bilevel, etc.)? I...

Re: Need mask advice - Airfit P10 v. Swift FX
I've used both and though they are different designs I found really couldn't tell much difference in comfort or sleep quality. I use the P10 more often only because the the venting is quieter. A hose buddy really a big difference in hose management/entanglement for both masks YMMV

Re: Full Face masks becoming the default?
Both the sleep study lab and my DME have encouraged me to use FFMs only as a last resort. The sleep study used both a WISP and ESON, the DME gave me an ESON, since then I've migrated to a Swift FX and most recently to a P10. I do have a Quattro FX for those congested nights, which have been few sinc...

Re: New Cpap Pillow from SleepGuy
I've received the new version and after 2 nights I'm liking it. I suspect I'll need to add more fill (which is provided) to get enough elevation, right now I'm using it on top of fairly flat goose down pillow. This may be due to the several fused vertebra I have in my neck. I've put it in a standard...

Re: VETERANS, are you here?
Thank you for your service. I'm a vet as well and have been receiving my care via TRICARE instead of the VA. You certainly got a better introduction into the CPAP lifestyle than I did, I found this forum and others which helped to fill in the blanks. It took be about 5-6 weeks before I really felt a...
