Re: Wake up exhausted, but wide awake at bedtime

Yeah, just venting. It's frustrating because some days I struggle to stay awake, but then one day I sleep too long and can't fall asleep when I need to. If I think back, the actual first time this happened was my first sleep study. I could not fall asleep until 3:30 or so. I'm just overall discourag...

Re: Wake up exhausted, but wide awake at bedtime

Yes! I need a long time, hours even, to unwind. Sometimes I need entire days to relax. I feel guilty for it, but going out and doing something maybe once a month is enough for me. Just grocery shopping leaves new not wanting to do anything else that day. I'm running on about to and a half hours of s...

Re: Wake up exhausted, but wide awake at bedtime

Looks like Sonata kicked in after all. Now I'm off to work, though I'd love a couple more hours sleep.

Wake up exhausted, but wide awake at bedtime

 What an adventure. Just when I think I've got everything figured out. I'm back to being unable to become tired when I have to work in the morning. Basically, I slept too late today. Kept trying to wake up but was too tired and kept closing my eyes and dozing off until around noon. I've been tr...

Re: Dreamwear tougher to breath?

My dream wear nasal gives me that sensation that I'm breathing through straws, sometimes. I've tried all the sizes in the fit pack, and they all feel as if that slit just isn't in the right spot or something. It's the most comfortable thing, by far, but I'm still waking to readjust it just like ever...

Re: Feeling worse on cpap.

I remember that "sore lungs" feeling. I stopped having that and stopped waking up with severe back pain after my pressures were lowered. Also, the pressure feels much less intense with my nasal mask than any full face mask I used.

Hopefully this gets solved.

Re: still tired after 4 months

For me, I never felt any rest for over four years. Mask changes helped a little. I've gotten the best results, though, from taking an antidepressant.

My AHI was always 1 or less.

Dreamwear nasal mask

This is amazing. This is the most comfortable mask I've tried and the only one that doesn't leak and doesn't hurt to wear. Just wanted to share.

Re: Falling asleep in daytime. Insomnia at night.

Thanks. This has been going on for a month prior to taking Lexapro. The day time sleepiness has somewhat improved with the Lexapro. I went over all this with the doctor and she prescribed Lexapro in response.

Falling asleep in daytime. Insomnia at night.

I still haven't gotten this one figured out. Every two or so weeks I just can't sleep. Always when I have to work the next day. Usually a thursday night. Started taking Lexapro in case this was depression or anxiety. Here I sit exactly two weeks after starting the medication. Can't sleep. Last time ...

Re: What if...?

I meet a patient once that was convinced he knew the secret to health. He had a chemistry background and checked his own blood samples daily and took supplements and chelating agents based on his results. He still ended up in the hospital for several days and was perplexed at where his "science" had...

Re: Wake up feeling like I'm suffocating and no air is blowing.

I kind of wish there was a built in battery that would be enough to power an alarm for when power outages were detected. Just something optional.

That being said, I must either have high pressures or a high sensitivity to them because there's no way to sleep through that change of pressure for me.

Re: Full Face mask for high pressure and bearded man

I've got a beard. Not a long one really, and I shave the moustache area, so it's more like a very full chin strap... or something.

Mine seals fine over the beard. Mine leaks over my nose and cheeks where I DO shave. Not badly.

I use an F&P Simplus currently.

Re: Changing water

I try to have barely enough water to make it through the night rather than a reservoir that has the days worth of water. Strange thing is, when I first started using it, I could fill the machine to the broom and it would use all that water in a single night. Now I barely use a third of the reservoir...

Re: Night cam recorder. Any advice?

Are you looking to get a camera to make a continuous recording of the entire night? Would it be more efficient to set up something that only records when it senses motion like those people set up to take video of wild animals at night? Something like this? Motion Activated 12MP HD 1080P Wildlife htt...
