Re: Getting rid of odors in a machine. (Smoke, Etc...)
Ok so what palerider said was spot on: The hard plastics like the ABS and polycarbonate won't absorb much 'smoke smell' and they are the easiest to outgas. The silicone parts absorb it much more deeply and will be harder to clean. The type of cleaning you need to do depends on the scope of contamina...

Re:
OP probably thinks he/she has a silicone allergy. Statistically speaking, this is probably not the case, seeing how there are very few bona-fide documented cases and they usually are related to silicone gels in breast implants. I would recommend seeing a dermatologist for an investigation / diagnosi...

Re: Oxygen Concentrator HELL
. All you have to do is turn up the dial until the flow rate is back where it should be. Note that sometimes they tighten a set screw on the dial so that the patient can't change the flow rate. FAULTY INFO ANSWER: The machines are made to handle a 50 foot hose. Adjusting the flow rate should be the...

Re: Oxygen Concentrator HELL
if you've got a long enough hose, move it outside the room... This is the best solution for now. They make hoses that are many many meters long. Just make sure that after you have attached the hose, that your flow rate is at the prescribed value. When you add on such a long line, the flow resistanc...

If you are getting centrals at a relatively moderate pressure, you could ask your doctor about getting a bipap maybe.

Re: AirFit F10 FFM size small is too big -- any suggestions?
The only difference is that the for her has pink straps and accents. The cushions and frame are the exact same. So the for-her small is the same as the normal small and for-her medium is the same as the normal medium. The F10 comes in two different frame sizes: X-small and small medium and large Sin...

Re: Changed my filter for the first time
I was under the impression that the replacement schedule was 1 month for filters. Source: http://www.resmed.com/us/en/consumer/support/replacement/replacement-option.html Medicare provides 2 disposable filters per month (this is the white filter for respironics) and 1 washable filter every 6 months ...

Re: whats the diffrence between the vpap auto and Vpap ST-A
The ST-A is a special machine usually for treatment of respiratory insufficiency diseases (COPD, cystic fibrosis, neuromuscular disorders). It's analogous to the Respironics AVAPS and works by adjusting pressure support until an average tidal volume is met. Dos the ST-A say iVAPS on it below the dia...

Re: Teardown of a Remstar DS550P
Hey aytikvjo, Is you circuit board still functional? Was you getting error codes that would make the machine shutdown while in use? You should try to get the microcontroller to give access to its memory so you can download the machine code of the microcontroller. Has anybody ever downloaded the mem...

Teardown of a Remstar DS550P
So I managed to get a hold of a Remstar DS550P (Remstar Auto C-Flex). Basically got it for free because it was contaminated with cigarette smoke and was making a high pitched motor noise. I also opened up my AVAPS C-Series just for fun to take some photos and compare / contrast. Didn't go in too dee...

Re: Water level alert
I also have the problem of the humidifier running dry if I sleep more than 8 hours. I'd love to have it cranked at tube temp 5 and humidity 3 all night, but it just doesn't last in this winter air. Disclaimer: Rambling I've thought about this problem a little bit off and on. My solutions are tailore...
