Re: Worst Night Sleep of My Life

So the poor sleep is causing the central’s and I assume this may be slight hyperventilating due to anxiety. This is based on my constant need to take s deep breath. I wish there was a sleeping med that could help me get over the hump without adverse side effects and risk of dependency and issues wit...

Worst Night Sleep of My Life

I have been going through a period of anxiety. Normally my AHI is <1. Like 0.14 typically for the last 4 years. Haven't had anxiety like this in about 5 years. Sometimes I would take a low dose of Clonazepam at bedtime to help me get to sleep but I refuse to use it long term. My sleep Dr prescribed ...

CPAP in Nightstand Drawer & Essential Oils Questions

Since starting CPAP almost 5 years ago, I have kept my CPAP in my nightstand drawer. This cuts down on noise and saves space. I keep the drawer clean but I notice the smell of wood. I started using Lavender essential oil on a cotton ball near the intake but I still smell the woo sometimes I've also ...

I've never read of anybody having this issue.
Well that's a drag! I was hoping to hear a bunch of people chiming in with the same experience and solutions! LOL

Re: Nose Pillows Sticking to Nostrils - Recent Issue

I had the issue with pillows that were maybe a month old and washed.
Then I put brand new pillows in and same thing.

Nose Pillows Sticking to Nostrils - Recent Issue

I've been using my Airfit P10's for years. Never had this issue until last week or so. The pillows get stuck to my skin and I have to kind of peel them away. Usually, there's no resistance. Could it be because my humidity setting is higher than I normally keep it? I used to keep it at 65 year round ...

Re: Side Sleeping - Reducing Hip Pressure Point

I've found that having a pillow tucked into my lower back and leaning slightly back on it has helped a lot with the hip pressure.
This tip was from my wife and what she did while pregnant.

Side Sleeping - Reducing Hip Pressure Point

I’m a side sleeper and have to sleep with a walking boot for 5 weeks (broke ankle). The added weight of the boot seems to be putting extra pressure on my hip and after an hour or 2 it’s game over. I’ve tried a pillow between my knees and a loosely rolled up towel under my waist but nothing helps. I ...

Makes perfect sense. Baffling how anxiety can do this stuff.

Re: What A Terrible Night Last Night - CA Arousals - Yuk!

Yep. This stupid anxiety crap rears it’s ugly head with me about every 5 years or so it seems. When it does, I get real nervous about laying down. It’s the strangest thing. Even just now, trying out some pillow configurations, I get anxious. That’s why experiencing the CA’s is troubling. Ironically,...

Re: What A Terrible Night Last Night - CA Arousals - Yuk!

Thanks Pugsy. I’m not really concerned with the report. I really use the report to confirm my perception of how I slept. Ironically, I’m not really in pain. It’s uncomfortable with this boot but not really pain. The real discomfort is the pressure point on my left hip after about an hour or 2. I’m m...

What A Terrible Night Last Night - CA Arousals - Yuk!

Man last night was a crappy night's sleep! Been dealing with a period of heightened anxiety as well as trying to sleep with a to the knee CAM boot (broken ankle). My AHI is normally <1 (like .1) and I typically would have 0-1 CA's. Now my graph looks like a DNA chart! No wonder I can't sleep! There'...

Re: Dry Mouth - Recently Started

So last night went much better. Here's a couple of things I changed - not sure if it made the difference but.... 1) My mask (nose pillows) seemed to have some kind of mild leak in the area near the vent. I could not figure out where but I could hear it, and so could my wife. I changed back to an old...
