Re: How to change pressure on Transcend Mini
The password is needed on the machine or to download the manual, etc.? Apparently software is needed to connect to the machine (probably some sort of cable involved) and the password is for the software so it can communicate with the machine and make the desired changes. Yes, this is true you need ...

Re: ResMed Mirage (Activa LT, SoftGel & Micro) question
Hi curems, I know where you are coming from. I have used the Wisp when I first started CPAP and I also developed a sore nose. In my case, when I would roll over in my sleep the mask would push up on my nose and put added pressure causing a sore. I am currently using the Activa LT and it works real we...

Eleong2, To demonstrate how utterly disappointed I am in the Q-Tube performance I would be MORE than happy to send you the Q-Tube Kit with slimline hose connector and spare replacement foam liner, with manual, in the mail. I will send it to you so you can perform an assessment of your own and repor...

Re: Z1 travel machine
I have fairly extensive experience with both the Z1, the Z1 Auto, and the Transcend line of machines. The Z1 has some nice features, the primary benefit being the small size for packing and travel, and I like having the controls (buttons) on the machine so that you can change therapy pressure and r...

Re: Q-Tube In-Line CPAP Muffer Kit
Charles, the Q-Tube is placed near the machine and reduces machine noise which would normally get amplified in the hose. It will not reduce any mask noise. I know, I can barely hear my machine. Maybe I won't hear it at all with the muffler. Time will tell. Did you read what JDS74 wrote? You will ha...

Re: Backpacking and CPAP Machines - what's the answer?
Haven't figured out multiple weeks but I can get 4 nights backpacking with my Owell industries 12 C 266 battery with my System One PR machine. I also recently bought a used Aeomed Everest 2 machine that I can get 2 nights with on its own battery so I think I can get 6 nights on the trail between bo...

Re: Z1 Auto, how do you like it?
... the "Darth Vader" noise issue with these little machines is a different animal altogether. The issue is the miniature turbine spinning at faster speeds than a big machine, and then the small air outlet size which requires an adapter at the machine end to bring the opening up to a normal diamete...

Re: Philips Responironics new Pico Nasal CPAP Mask
I received the email also. The cushion design looks like the Wisp cushion. I liked the Wisp but it would push against the bridge of my nose when I roll on to my side. This new mask looks like it would solve that problem with the new head gear. I will probably give it a try since it looks pretty stab...

Re: Smart Phone Oximeter
I have been looking for an inexpensive (cheap) data recording oximeter and I think I found something that works for me. It’s called “bad idea”.... I ordered it from Amazon ($70) ... Issue number one ...Second issue, .. A big issue I am somewhat happy with it, or, for 30$ more you can get a *great* ...

Smart Phone Oximeter
I have been looking for an inexpensive (cheap) data recording oximeter and I think I found something that works for me. It’s called “iOximeter by Safe Heart”. You plug it into your smart phone headphone jack and it is powered by it. The application can be downloaded from the Apple App and Google Pla...

Re: About 1.5 months in and struggling mightlily
I've set the auto back to 5-20. The set pressure was at 10.5. Most of the events I was seeing at 10.5 were CA's and from what I understand, my poor sleep could be contributing to those flags. The therapy has not been going great. Sorry to hear about the rough time, my first week was tough but after...

Re: I need suggestions for a nasal mask
I'm a new cpap user and I have a Wisp nasal mask. The issue I am having is with it touching my nose. It came with three different sizes but all of them do the same thing. It makes me feel claustrophobic and the silicone seal on the bottom where it touches my upper lip bothers me immensely. Does any...
