Plane has outlet for 120 volt appliances. Is the S9 ok to use on the plane?
It will definitely work, but as noted above whether the airline will let you use it is a more complex question.

But I'd be very interested in the reaction to this thing by the forum experts.
Well, for a start, since it interfers with the air flow, it will defeat the auto sensing on your xPAP device, so those refernces to scored data in the video are pretty much worthless.

Have it your way then, but you are doing yourself a disservice.

Re: It knows when you are sleeping, but will it tell you?

He assured me that it does a good job detecting whether your asleep or awake based on breathing patterns. You seem to be reading what you want to hear into simple statements. The Resmed alogrithm is only useful for the gross purpose of commencing or ceasing treatment. It will not reliably "s...

Re: It knows when you are sleeping, but will it tell you?

The F&P SleepStyle CPAP machine has an auto-ramp-like feature that supposedly detects when you are sleeping or awake, as do ResMed machines and others. That is an auto start/auto stop capability, which senses that you have put a mask on, or taken it off. It is not in any way related to detecting/re...

More likely that his brain has already been eaten.

Re: Can I use Resmwed 11 to gauge my "baseline" sleep condition?

What I am asking is can I use my Resmed to do a similar baseline sleep study as the insurance company did? I'd like to see my data for a night when the CPAP is not helping me breath...to see what my baseline conditions are, per AHI, and apneas, etc. Note all my apneas are labeled as Central Apneas....

Re: Airfit N30i nasal cushion

I have never taken the filter out when washing. I didn't realize I was supposed to. You don't have to! After I have finished washing mine, every morning, I blow a couple of lungfuls of air back through the disperser from the outside to dry it out quickly. and I have found that stops any general dis...

Re: Resmed 11 Power connector type

I am sure the connector can be sourced for far less. The cable and connector are moulded together, not manually assembled. Which means that the connections are wave soldered to the cable. The likelihood of finding a connector by itself with pins that can be manually soldered to is probably extremel...

Re: My mask tube and heated tube gets lose after a while

Try wrapping the part of the mask fitting that mates with the tube, with a few layers of PTFE Plumbers Tape (aka Thread Seal Tape).

It will increase the grip between the fitting and tube but willl still allow them to pull apart when necessary.

(Though there are now some also attached to private hospitals, which charge ~$300). WIth the private hospitals, the fee is often rebated if you arrive in an ambulance. It is charged for walk-ins. (For US readers AUD$300 is approximately USD$213 on today's FX rates). The problem with the free EDs is...

Does anyone know if you can use a ResMed Mini power source for an AirSense 10?
The energy rating of the AirMini power supply (~20W) is definitely not adequate for running an A10.

Re: Resmed AirFit P30i

To me it looks like no air/CO2 is escaping at all. Maybe very little. It seems that all goes to the pipe and I inhale it back again. The material in the diffuser does incidently provide some filtering, but it primary function is to diffuse the scavenged air flow and reduce exhaust noise. The N30i m...

Curious if AU socialized medical system I don't know where you got that idea from, but it is essentially wrong . The Australian healthcare system is sensibly regulated and there are public hospitals to provide a basic universal delivery capability, the VAST majority of healthcare delivery is carrie...

They shouldn't cost more in AU.
The US market is ~13 larger than the Australian market. Quite apart from anything else, that has a big impact of retail pricing.
