Power Failure

15 Months of using CPAP and finally had a power outage during the night! Woke up very groggy trying to suck air in thru the P10 mask. I was so groggy I did not even think to open my mouth and breath. About the time I woke up enough to realize the night lights etc were out and pulled the mask off, yo...

Re: Nasal Mask Options

What are you doing about humidity? Seems to me that with my Amara mask, a humidity setting of 4 was best but I'm finding with the P10, 2 seems to work best. With 3, I felt that the humidity was causing my sinuses to congest/inflame just a little bit. I have been using a humidity setting of 2. I hav...

Re: Nasal Mask Options

Just thought I would report back.. I have settled on the P-10 as my mask of choice. My last 14 day average AHI is 1.5 and that is with swapping out between the medium and large pillows. The medium consistently gives a 1 point lower AHI than the large does so I have settled for the medium size as wel...

Re: Nasal Mask Options

I have tried both the Eson and P-10 masks and wanted to give a bit of feedback as to how they seem to work for me. First the Eson. I had printed out the fitting/sizing template to decide what size cushion to go with. It seemed that the large was the closest so I ordered that one from my DME. I was a...

Pugsy,

Thank you for the suggestions and link. The Eson sounds interesting and I may give it a try.

Nasal Mask Options

I have reached the end of my initial 10 month period that my insurance company requires before they will allow ordering a new mask. I have been using a Mirage FX and have adapted to it fairly well. The one thing I do not care for is the way the exhaust is directed. It seems that the diffusers direct...

Re: First Bad Night with APAP

Hi guys. I cannot begin to express my appreciation for this group. I had my first bad night. I've been using it for 10 days now, and so far so good, except that I was noticing that my nose had dried blood in the next morning. So, what I did was ramp up the humidity temperature from 71 degrees to 74...

Re: Confusion about sleep lab results

Here's a little hint to make the leak line show things a little better (not that you need it). Put your mouse cursor over the words "leak rate" ...wait for the little pop up to go away and then double click your mouse on the words leak rate and your leak graph will adjust so that it isn't needing t...

There were several key combinations that I had not been aware of. Many will be quite useful to me. Edit: As a suggestion, a list li...

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.6 (Mac) Pre-Release thread..

Mark, I notice that I now have two listings under Changes to Prescription Settings on the statistics Tab. One is green and the second is pinkish. I have not had any changes to prescription settings on this machine. Older versions of Sleepyhead only have one entry. Perhaps Pressure relief settings c...

Re: SD card Cover on back of 560P

Yes the DME that setup the machine months ago did not leave the back plate when they installed the modem. Every time I want to get SD card data I have had to unplug the machine, remove modem, access SD card, reinstall modem, and replug the power. A pain to say the least. The only reason I have not j...
