Re: Climateline and Snugglehose

I don't think ResMed would recommend using any kind of a hose cover on any of their heated hoses and there's also a disclaimer on CPAP.com when you're on their website configuring a new ResMed machine; if you select a heated hose during the configuration process CPAP.com states they do not recommend...

Re: Water for Humidifier

Our tap water is 13, but it tastes good. Sadly, Bunn coffeemakers die much too soon. I saw a thread on a keurig site about brita filters.... they actually soften the water! might be worth it to extend the life of your coffeemaker. I have a Bunn My Cafe that we have owned for over 10 years. Its been...

Re: Water for Humidifier

Stevoreno, You do realize that the water only goes into the tank and not the rest of the machine. Replacement tank is around $32. I also use distilled water, but it is not really that big if a deal. One of the threads that goes on endlessly.... To me it's not either but others in previous threads h...

Re: Water for Humidifier

I've been paying $0.88 a gallon for Great Value brand distilled water from my local Walmart. $0.88 for a gallon of distilled water is a very small price to pay when the new machine which I've been sleeping on since December 10, 2014; a ResMed AirCurve 10 S BiLevel machine with a HumidAir heated humi...

Re: Memory card for ResMed Aircurve 10

You can buy SD card on e-bay for as little as $5. They all work the same. What's wrong with the card that came with your unit? A few weeks ago when my DME's RT came out to the house to pick up the card which came with my machine; when she took it back to her company's office to download the data wh...

Re: Memory card for ResMed Aircurve 10

Before buying a new computer just go ahead and try the software on your Vista computer. I am pretty sure that both SleepyHead and ResScan will work with Vista. That is unless you just want to go buying a new computer anyway then of course you can always buy a new one..... Thanks for the feedback. I...

Re: Full face masks alternatives

Yes, that's a mask liner. As far as the strap goes, the photo show a strap that has been cut off an old headgear. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. You could try tying a shoelace around the lower straps to see if this setup might work for you. If you like it, you could use part of an old chin s...

Re: When do I need an in hospital study done

If your insurance will cover it I strongly recommend an inpatient study at either a privately owned testing facility or in a hospital. I had a 2 night study done last year in a hospital; a company from Louisiana tested me; my PSG was done in late May 2014 and my titration was done in early June 2014...

Re: Memory card for ResMed Aircurve 10

For those of you who record and keep track of your own sleep data; post images here of your data; what's the minimum computer OS that most of you have to be able to do so? My desktop PC is a Dell with a no longer supported OS by MS; it's a WIN XP which is no longer connected to the internet because...

Re: Full face masks alternatives

If you like a particular mask that has no chin support, you could rig up a strap that connects to your bottom straps of your mask. http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy29/Mohms1/image_zps707f329d.jpg This method reminded me enough while sleeping to keep my mouth shut. How long does it take you to h...

Re: Full face masks alternatives

I use the Zzz-Mask Full Face mask. I like you have high pressures and worries of leaks. The liners is also a good idea. There is a nice lady on this forum: Becky at RemZzzs who would probably send you a free samples of the liners they offer, just send her a private message. With the liners I was ab...

Re: Full face masks alternatives

I use the F&P Flexfit 432 which also has a similar feature. It has an extra insert for better leak control as well. Ref: https://www.cpap.com/productpage/FlexiFit-432-HC432-Full-Face-Mask-Fisher-Paykel.html Thanks for that link. Is your mask as light weight as the ResMed Quattro Air which I'm curre...
