Re: CPAP for road warriors? HDM Z1?
I have a Z1.... It is noisy. I added the muffler they make and that helped a bit. Overall I don't sleep as well with it as my home maching (S9), but the weight of it and the power brick (plus the wear and tear) has me relying on the Z1 for travel. I want to check out the new Resmed travel machine w...

Re: Sleep study scared me wide awake
I can understand that everybody wants a study so that the insurance company will pay! It seems like a lot of trouble and for nothing. If you have OSA then get a machine from http://www.secondwindcpap.com. After a study you still have to adust your settings until you have it right! That's because a s...

Re: Cholesterol - you really need to get it up
That was a very interesting article. I refused to take statins (there is no evidence that they help women at all). I've read a lot recently that high blood sugar is more likely responsible for setting the stage for many heart attacks. I will just assume that it is multicausal. The only valid study ...

Re: OT - Statins and You
Just out of curiosity, have any of you checked out the statistical mess regarding high blood pressure medication. That’s a real riot. There has never been any study that shows that high blood pressure can cause heart attacks. There are using relative risk. When the same studies are subjected to abso...

Re: New prescription today for BiLevel/BiPap, I think
I use a PR 760. I have used Resmed APAP. I like the 760. Some people adhere to the idea that if you are used to a brand you should stick to it; reducing the learning curve. That’s probably true!
