Re: Got depressed after using cpap

Am I the only one who developed depression after starting cpap? Started about 3 months after starting cpap . Fixed my daytime sleepiness immediately and that's still true. But now on meds for anxiety and depression and wake up severely depressed. This has been going on for about 3 years. Janknitz a...

Saying what's right and knowledgable isn't provoking or hateful, it's just truthful and smart.

Re: infection on nose and lips where mask doesn't touch

Why can't you let people post without your nasty provoking remarks? why can't YOU? Because I don't make them. Then show me a quote I've made to someone that was nasty? I don't see why you feel you need to be so sarcastic. It drives people away. This thread is a perfect example. The OP asked if anyo...

Re: infection on nose and lips where mask doesn't touch

Did you not read this? At first I thought it was my mask but since I'm a mercer and staph carrier and been so sick over a 2 month period and drs can't find out where exactly the infection is. oh, I read it, (not withstanding that MRSA (not 'merser') IS a form of staph) and 20-30% of us are staph ca...

Re: Mouth breathing

2" 3M tape worked better than the chin strap for me. It keeps your mouth 100% closed and my wife would tell you she loved that.

Re: infection on nose and lips where mask doesn't touch

is there anything people won't try to blame on cpap? There you go again with your mean spirited comments. You just can't help yourself, can you? Read the OP again, nothing said about blaming the CPAP. But so what if she did? Are you the CPAP police? She's asking for help not comments like this. the...

Re: I hate my machine

Really, my comments? You do have a short memory. Read your comments to me. I actually agreed with you that invasive was the wrong word and thanked you. You come back with your caustic comments about trolling. You shoot first and ask questions later? You've done this once before and I accepted your ...

Re: I hate my machine

Why would you say something like that? You have a short memory. Read some of our previous communications. Nothing but kindness and complimentary to you. Do you remember the conversation between you and I about your Paw Paw? Go back and read it and then come back and tell me I'm a troll. (Do you hav...

Re: I hate my machine

What I didn't miss is "you'll get no sympathy here", I have sympathy for her, I'm sure lots of people do. That's just a mean spirited comment to make. speak for yourself, not the entire forum. so, what're you here for, since you don't like cpap, apparently don't use cpap, and don't advocate helping...

Re: I hate my machine

If you are looking for sympathy, you are not going to get it here. If you are looking for help, Welcome. It's answers like this that drive people away from this forum. That's absurd! When somebody says they "hate" a device that will help them breathe while they're sleeping......and thereby will hel...

Re: I hate my machine

I hate it. I hate having sleep apnea. I hate that my husband reminds I have it because it wakes him up. I hate the sterotypes about sleep apnea. But I hate my machine the most. For several months (maybe a year) it has been relegated to the closet and ignored. The mask itches and if I tighten the st...

Re: I hate my machine

Most people quit CPAP therapy because it is so invasive CPAP is so invasive...but surgery is not???? maybe the word he was looking for was "obtrusive", given that, by definition, cpap isn't even a tiny bit invasive... well, maybe if you have a nasal prong mask Yes, thanks, obtrusive is the better w...
