Dakota, Dakota is a great name for anyone, including a dog! When I first got my CC I didn't think it would be able to stay sealed at high pressures - from 12 to 16 on my APAP, but it seems to do just fine. I think the trick is to really mess with it until all the adjustments are just right. Plus, wh...

OK. Stupid me. Obviously my brain is still recovering from sleep deprivation and O2 desat. I found the posts on the whistling and will try it tonight. It sounds like teflon tape or plastic wrap would work the best to stop the whistling, which seems to be caused by a design flaw. It's funny that it d...

My sleep lab gave me a CC to try and I really like it. After reading all the posts about it, I didn't really have to mess with it too much to get a good seal. I have used it for two nights now. The first night was pretty good - I moved around a lot but didn't have any leaks. The second night, last n...

Ashamed to Register: YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! I have been down the road you are on. Over the past 15 years or so, I have been on meds for depression/anxiety and sleeping problems. About 10 years ago, the meds I was on stopped working (or so I thought) and I ended up being escorted, by the police and in ...

Hi quilterB I also use the F&P full face mask. I have three other masks but I really like this one the most - not sure why! I, too get leaks, and sometime wake up several times a night with them. I usually don't have any problems getting it to seal back up again, though. This is what I do: I lift th...

I am one of the lucky people who's tongue naturally seals the airway. My lips can be open but no air will leak out. As I said previously, I do have a boil and bite mouth guard, but I think it ends up being more of a chew toy. I just wanted to see what other people thought, and as I'd figured, all of...

I haven't had a problem with the elbow breaking, but it has started squeaking every time I move, which causes it to move. I know that doesn't help you, but at least you know someone else is having a problem with the same mask. Otherwise, I love this mask. I have woken up several times thinking I had...

Thanks for all of your posts!! Before I had my sleep study I did get a boil and bite mouth guard, and that helped a lot, but then after I had been wearing it for about a week or so, I seemed to be using it for a chew toy, or I'd wake up and it would be on the floor. (I can't imagine I would do that ...

Mouth Guard for Bruxism
Hey All, I went to the dentist yesterday to have a crown repaired, and also talked to them about my OSA and teeth grinding/clenching. I have not had a problem with it since starting CPAP about a month ago. Anyway, they suggested a mouth guard to be worn at night, the cost of which would be almost $9...

ResMed AutoScan Software
Does anyone have the ResMed Autoscan software for their xPAP? I'm just wondering if it's worth the money.

I guess it does - I was a consumer of mass quantities of Coke (the drink!) until about a week and a half ago. I had a little relapse today because the power went out last night due to a thunderstorm and I had to sleep without my machine for a little while. I can really tell the difference of having ...

I am ashamed to admit that I do have a hose cover, but it is not really a quality product. I wish I would have known about yours before I bought the other one. Anyway, I ripped it off one night when the air I was breathing was too warm. I have always had a problem with breathing warm air. When I was...

Meds Question
From reading lots of posts, it is apparent that many of us have been on sleep meds at one time or another.
I am curious to know if anyone has been on meds to stay awake during the day.
