Hyperacusis /tinnitus sufferers also on Cpap?
I got hyperacusis... Loudness kind. I wake up and the cpap pushes air into my ears... I have a feeling cpap use increases tinnitus and can even begin hyperacusis.

Re: Ears, pressure, pain, fluid behind eardrum, hearing sensibility
Is there a certain mask that won't make my ears build pressure... I'm becoming very sensitive to certain sounds.. Please, anyone with insight?

Ears, pressure, pain, fluid behind eardrum, hearing sensibility
Well, been experiencing this in the past year. I wake up and have to swallow to pop my ears. I am easily by sharp sounds like dishes ect... Sometimes fluid behind eardrum. Ent said it's thr cpap, tests have come clear. I'm afraid the cpap negative pressure when I swallow while wearing is hurting my ...

Re: Mouth breathing no matter what, desperate
I am a mouth breather also, & am currently using a nasal/ pillow mask with the Ruby chin strap. I have both cushions for the N30i/P30i. I have tried just about every chin strap on the market & found the Ruby to be perfect for me. My best fitting/no leaking Full face mask is the F30. I am hoping Res...

Re: Mouth breathing no matter what, desperate
Hello all! I've searched around the threads for the open mouth and saw and did many things like different types of chinstraps, tongue positioning I wake up with very dry mouth many times a night, even when using xylimelts, I'm sort of afraid to tape the mouth? Should I? Or is it best to switch to f...

Re: Mouth breathing no matter what, desperate
Personally, I would NEVER consider mouth taping, but it works for some. Have you tried a cervical collar? Hello, thanks for response to all I haven't even heard of that. I will not tape my mouth as I'm scared too. How does this cervical collar work for you? Additional I have quite the aerophagia an...

Recommend a mask!
For many years I've been using the respironics easylife (nasal mask) I briefly tried a inside nose mask and hated it. I've tried full face mask and hated it. Looking for another nasal mask. I'm looking for something that is lighter and popular I guess, I know it's subjective but what's considered *b...

Re: Just got a new ResMed s10! Got questions
Strange to say, I'm used to a bipap solely for the easier exhalation.
This resmed has awesome exhalation relief, (lvl 3) it was truly a good experience, my ahi was the same as my bipap in the morning, I noticed I had it set to 9 to 20presseure.
But most of the night it was 8.4 I using as the low.

Cpap cleaning devices? The market is littered with them? Am I missing out?
Call me boring and traditional but I wash my mask, and chamber daily, and other silicone parts weekly and replace hose once a month. I wouldn't stop doing those things or slow down even if I did have one of these cleaning machines (some are ozone some Charcoal) But I would enjoy the extra hygiene I ...

Re: Just got a new ResMed s10! Got questions
Isn't the 9 to 20 range to broad? I mean I know it's auto cpap, but for some reason I remember reading years ago for the optimal range to be tighter. People that don't know what they're doing oversimplify things. For the vast majority of people, all that matters is the minimum pressure, the machine...

Re: Just got a new ResMed s10! Got questions
I suppose I need to be in *airplane mode* as I don't have the cellular function connected to anywhere? Not unless you particularly want to be. Now trying this cpap with EPR at 3 and in auto mode from 9 to 15 pressure. I'd suggest 9-20, no need to restrict the machine on the first night, see what it...
