Craigslist genius

Check out the background of this Craigslist ad. I wonder if the machine comes from a non-smoking household.

Re: Resmed P10 Nasal Pillow connection to Airsense Hose?

The P10 pillows will connect to any cpap hose. Is there any chance there is still a quick disconnect fitting from your old mask on the end of your hose? If so, it needs to be removed. The hose should have a rubbery female connector. If there's a tube of hard plastic there, that's a piece from an old...

Re: tape P10 hose on chin

I use a Ruby chin strap on top of my P10. It keeps the P10 firmly in place even if I move around.

Re: Used dieelectric grease on power adapter connector

My Resmed S9 power adapter was tough to plug in and I worried the pins might break. After I put some dielectric grease on the connector it was very easy to plug and unplug. The grease is sold in small packets at the checkouts at auto stores and is used for electrical connections like light bulbs. I...

Re: Resmed S9 Elite Teardown with pictures

My question is: Does anybody know what the 3rd pin function is on the ResMed S9 power connector? The 3rd pin is a signal pin. It tells the S9 whether the power supply is the 90 watt version, which can power a humidifier, or the 30 watt version, which cannot. I believe I've read it's done using diff...

Re: Resmed S9 Elite Teardown with pictures

Those that tore into their ResMed S9, which direction were the ribs on the off white airflow baffle tube? Were they facing the input side or the output side? I see the part looks the same on the inside but I believe the ribs were designed by ResMed for a reason. My theory is the ribbed side should ...

Re: Taping!

That sure is true for many brands of tape out there. For anyone considering taping, try CVS brand Gentle Paper Tape. It really is gentle. I tape every night, and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. If I don't use tape, I wake up many times each night with air rushing out my mouth. I know taping is d...

Re: Philips Respironics power supply questions

Read this statement: https://www.easybreathe.com/secure/files/DreamStation%20Adapter%20Instructions.pdf "While Respironics DreamStation Series devices operate from 12V direct current, the DC port on these devices require a proprietary signal in order to recognize a valid power source; therefore, the...

Re: Mold in the micromesh of Airfit P10

I use straight bleach and a Q-tip on the mesh of the P10. Dip the Q-tip in bleach and scrub both sides of the mesh. That forces the bleach into the mesh. Let sit for a few hours. Rinse both sides of the mesh with the spray hose at the kitchen sink. Blot dry with a kleenex. The mesh will look like ne...

Re: Joining the ranks of those who tape

What tape is best to use? I have pretty sensitive skin.
I use CVS "Gentle Paper" tape. It sticks well, removes easily, and does not irritate my skin at all.
I also used to awaken to the sound of air rushing out of my mouth, and the tape eliminated that.

Re: Goodbye, AirFit P10. Call me when you're improved....

Here's what I have done . I wear the ruby red adjustable chin strap. Not tight. The P10 top head gear strap stays above the top portion of the chin strap. The bottom p10 head gear strap sits below the bottom portio of the chin strap. I have been using this method since the P10 mask came out. It sta...

Re: Does Your Chinstrap Help You Keep Your Mouth Shut?

I use nasal pillows (Airfit P10), and I use a chin strap, but the chin strap does not prevent my lips from opening and allowing air to blow out. However, I still use the chin strap because it does a great job of keeping the P10 straps from sliding around on my hair. The advice in the post below by S...

Re: This isn't working, need help.

If you never tried nasal pillows, give it a shot. The Resmed Airfit 10 Pillows are as minimal as a mask can be, and your nasal congestion will go away. That is real good advice above. I'm always congested from allergies to dust and cats, and the Airfit P10 nasal pillows keep my nasal passages wide ...

Re: Chin strap over or under? With P10 Nasal Pillows.

I use a Ruby-style adjustable chinstrap OVER the P10 straps. The chinstrap keeps the P10 straps from moving around on my hair. I'm a side-sleeper. However, the chinstrap doesn't fully prevent me from leaking air out my lips, so I also tape my lips with paper bandage tape (CVS store-brand). I saw a b...
