Re: Choosing new FFM

I've recently begun using the Quatro Air. Formerly used the Quattro FX and Mirage. The Air is lighter. Side sleeper totally. I also changed to the size Large. It was a great improvement. Might want to look into it.

Changed mask size from M to L - Wow!

For over ten years, I've been using a full face mask. (Mouth breather, side sleeper) Was fitted by DME supplier with size medium. Have used various size Medium Quatro masks. Pro, FX, and now the new Air. The Air gave improved numbers. But for kicks, I ordered a new one a few days ago, in a size Larg...

Re: Full Face mask for high pressure and bearded man

Been using bPap for about 13 years now. Full beard. Have had very good luck sealing with Mirage Quatro masks. First, the FX, then the Pro, and now the Air. Very happy with the Quatro Air, bought about a month ago. Have tried several other ffm's, and not been happy with them. Just my experience.

Thank you, Pugsy. That's what I was suspecting. When you put it that way, it becomes so obvious. Makes sense to me now. Love this forum.

Re: Trying a new style Dreamware Face Mask

I just finished my attempt to use this full face mask. I'm a mouth breather and a side sleeper, and can only use a ffm. First night, seal was fine. But after 3 hours, had to switch back to my Quatro Mirage. Air coming in was warm. Don't use a humidifier. Second night, slept with it for full 8 hours,...

No. It doesn't block anything. It simply supports the mask at the level it's on your face.

Re: "My Pillow"

Just my two cents - I tried the "My Pillow" nearly two years ago, and could not believe how well it held my head. We got a medium and a firm. The firm was a little too firm. We removed some of the stuffing, and have a very good cpap pillow for the RV. The medium was "just right." There are a few tri...

Re: Blue Cross FEDERAL

Just for some information. You were asking about BCBS Federal. It is what I have. Five years between is normal. But I can find no reason to buy thru them or the DME. Your share is 30% (for now). And that's about $600. Depending on DME, it may be monthly for a few months. But you'll still pay about $...

Re: What is your favorite full face mask with headgear and why?

I've been using the Quattro and FX for several years. Couple of weeks ago I got a F/P Flexifit 431. Absolutely love it. It has a flap that goes under the chin. Keeps the mask from riding up and seems to seal really well around the beard. Good results on SH. And good price. The mask comes with s, m, ...

I'm running 16.04. I simply downloaded the most recent file (6 weeks ago), ran it, and it works fine.

Re: Newbie with a beard

Been b-papping over ten years, now, with a full beard, and full face masks. No desire to shave it off. Adjusting the fit carefully (looser, not tighter) and using the right pillow (from mypillow.com) has eliminated any leak problems for me. Good luck.

Re: Trouble with leaks with full face mask when sleeping on side

I've used the Quattro and the fx for over ten years now. The buckwheat pillow was very helpful in conforming to my head. But the pillow from "mypillow.com" has been the best for stopping leaks. I sleep on side and breathe mostly from the mouth. When I lie down, I press my head into the pillow, holdi...
