Suggestion for Quatro FX FFM Users
I've noticed that some posters using the Quatro FX ffm have had some problems getting a good seal with little or no leaks. There is a very fine line between too tight and too loose. A solution that I have used, and works very well, is a combination of that mask, and the headgear from the hybrid mask...

Re: Day Light Savings Time
I spent half an hour last night, re-setting all the clocks. Wife told me what a nice job I had done.... But went the wrong way.
Silly me.

Re: Annoyed with Apria
This may not be any help at all, but often, when in a "hold" pattern on the phone, pressing the "0" button will by-pass the menu and take you to an operator. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Perhaps worth the try.

New Cpap Pillow from SleepGuy
A few weeks ago, SleepGuy, a regular here, offered some free products, for anyone who wanted to try them. I was able to get and try one of his new buckwheat hull Cpap pillows. I volunteered for this because I've tried nearly every pillow out there and have spent lots of money to get what I considere...

Re: Ffm. What are your suggestions
I had some problems with leaks with my FFM as well, until I learned two things, both from users on this forum. 1. The mask works best when not tightened. It should fit loosely on the face. If you're sitting up, it will (and should) leak. When you turn on the air, the mask will balloon out, and try t...

Re: Thoughts On Untested Theory About Heated Hose?
Just to find out, you may want to try the FFM without the humidifier even connected. I am a mouth-breather. Have been all my life. Been using a FFM (didn't even know there was a humidifier (for years), for nine years now, with no humidifier. 69 degrees at night, no dry mouth.

Re: I just don't know if I can do this
One thing you might want to try... I noticed that you said you said you had to clamp down tight to get a seal This sounds counter-intuitive, I know, but my experience, and lots of help from folks here, finally led me to fit the mask looser. Much looser. Then, when the air comes on, the silicon cushi...

Re: Beards and Masks
Am a mouth breather, with full face beard, and Quatro FX ff mask. I have found that the cpap foam pillow, the one with cut outs on each end, helps greatly in solving the problem of small leaks in that area. You can move your head just a little bit, and the seal is again intact. (It's available from ...

Personally, I really like the cpap pillow, memory foam, with cut-outs on ends, for side sleepers. It's available from our sponsor here.

Re: SleepyHead 0.9.6 Pre-Release thread..
Just for Mark's information. I just downloaded the latest version and it worked fine on my Dell 1525 laptop with Vista Ultimate. Previously, the switch to daily view would screw it up.
Many, many thanks for your selfless work on this.
Very much appreciated.

Re: Newbie at wits end - please help me find the right mask
Just my suggestions, based on my experience - I, too, have a full beard and mustache, am a mouth breather (always have been, with an occasional short period thru my nose), sleep on my side, with an occasional short period on my back. I experience almost no leaks, no air blowing on my face, and no ti...

Re: CPAP and beards
I have found the Quattro FX full face mask to seal very well on my beard. Maybe not so glorious, but definitely there. The key thing for me to get used to, is that the mask has to be fit rather loose. When the air kicks in, it balloons the silicon and seals quite well. Occasionally, when I turn, I'l...

Re: CPAP Specific Nightstands
I keep mine in my nightstand drawer. Cord goes out the back. Hose comes out the front. Drawer is open just enough to let the hose out. No chance of a nightstand being so air tight it would restrict the flow. Any opening only has to provide as many square inches as is provided by the filter. Maybe 1x...
