gray area on SH daily chart
I've done a search and so far have not found anything. For the last few weeks, several of my daily charts have large gray areas running top to bottom. Sometimes narrow, sometimes wider. Have traced the beginnings back to when I switched to a new mask, Mirage Quatro, with the forehead support, from t...

Re: Insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield
Mine is 10. I've seen 7, 10, and 12. Could be different by state. Mine is BCBS of Nebraska. By the way, my co-pay is 30%.

Re: headgear
Used to have the same condition and problem, until I learned that LOOSE is better. Adjust the mask (loosen it) in very small increments until it simply hangs on your face. Allow the air filling the mask to blow it up and make the seal. When you get it right, there will be no more grooves on the skul...

The one advertised at "mypillow.com"
I got the one just softer than medium. They're running tv ads now, 2 for the price of one.

Re: Newbie can't get control of mask leakage
I have a full beard and use a ffm. Finally got rid of all the leaks when I switched to the right pillow for me. Cpap pillows helped, but still had some leaks. The buckwheat pillow sold by one of our folks here was a delight, very little leakage, but not easy to adjust. Then I got a pillow from mypil...

Short answer, No. Ipad runs apps, not programs. So far, no app. Sorry.

Re: What's the cause and effect of Weight and Sleep Apnea
"Correlation does not equal causation." There are many "causes" of weight gain. And there are many "causes" of sleep apnea. Some of them may overlap. Or, none of them may overlap. It's kind of like frying a dozen scrambled eggs and then asking which bite came from which egg. Can't tell. Doesn't matt...

Re: mask fit with beard
I do not understand why people say that there is no good mask to work with a beard. Of course, the only thing I have to go on is my ten plus years of b-paping, all of it with a full beard. The masks I use are the Quattro FX and the Mirage. Both are FFM. I am a mouth breather and sometimes awaken of ...

Heart Jumping - I agree. My experience was years before my sleep apnea diagnosis. Wouldn't even consider it for that. Thanks for the response.

"The term is an oxymoron, it's like looking for a "professional homeopathic" or a "professional anti-vaxxer". It's medieval hocus pocus that has been shown to be useless by every properly conducted study that has been performed on it, and I don't mean the ones coming out of China where is has cult l...

FFM, full beard, 10 years, several different masks. No air leak problems. Just my 10 cents worth.

Funny. When I read the title, I thought it said - How long is your nose? And I thought, Oh good. A really useful poll. Like is your nose too long to fit comfortably in a full face mask...

Re: bed pillow question
I used the contour pillow for years. But always looking for something better. Then I found the buckwheat pillow. Better. Used for several months. You make your hole and sleep in it. Then somebody on this forum recommended a pillow from my pillow.com - Expensive, around a hundred. But you can almost ...

Not exactly a newbie, after almost ten years of this, but I found it a good read, and quite helpful. Thanks.
