Re: New Machine Reccomendations

I appreciate everyones help. Since BC/BS picked up entire tab on machine think I can justify looking for a good used machine. Will try to stay with Respironics so now its a wait and see what I trip over.

Re: Night Snack?

My three most often night time snacks are granola bars or nutrigrain fruit bars. Individually sealed and dont need refridgeration. Reach to night stand and rip open to eat. My favorite is vanilla ice cream with peaches. It requires effort and time so unless absolutely awake only hit the ice cream on...

Re: Insurance won't cover Cpap

Wait till January and let machine apply to deductible. Then as you get that out of way spend the rest of the year doing sleep studies, blood work, MRI's and any other medical questions you have had lurking.

Re: *UPDATE* 1.5 years on ASV with NO RELIEF

I am also prone to post AHI numbers in the 120 to 140 range a couple of nights a week untreated or even when treated with cpap or bipap machines. Two nights ago I started using an ASV machine. My impressions and numbers the software is reporting for my 1st two nights are life changing for me. I know...

Re: Getting new mask -- how to sell old one?

I am as likely to buy a used $40 retail mask as a used tooth brush. I use a very expensive mask but would not buy one used to save money. My insurance company buys me two per year.

Re: I'm Almost Afraid To Go To Sleep

Understand fear of sleep. Took years of changing therapy before I just recently (last night) slept all night without fear or pro lems. See other threads of mine for details.

Re: CPAP machine with built-in filtration

Been using tap water for years. I put in water jug and let sit open for a week so chlorine smell goes and have a months worth of water for free. Wash machine once a week and no problems. I think a water filter in the resivour seems like unneccesary expense and complication. Air quality is what I wou...
