Re: How may I overcome OSA to get my UK driving licence back?
Cyberbullying, eh? New one on me and sounds like the last ditch effort of the playground kid that never got picked till last for any games. I would be ashamed to have to resort to being the victim of a bully I had never, and probably never will, meet in person. If you canot bear a little written ban...

Re: Any problem with using someone elses machine?
Wash it well, use it, then tell friend how much better you felt so that when your machine arrives she may give it another try. Untreated apnea is a time bomb.

Re: Do xPAP machines qualify as medical devices for utilites?
Goofproof is correct. Point A to B but due to redundancy they can often sneek in back door to get power to C while skipping B. Thus is the case on high priority locations such as hospitals etc.

Re: Do xPAP machines qualify as medical devices for utilites?
Without the barb, without the barb I chant in the background. The OP asked about electric discounts. Look at your machine and its power needs. Look up ohms law and you will find the xpap machine eats almost a bucks worth of electricity per month. So if you feel the need to chase the savings go for i...

Re: My first 0.0
Fortuanately I will never have a 0.0 so dont have to obsese waiting for one. The occasional night at under five is good for me. As under five is considered normal that is enough. As long as I keep away from those nights above 100 is the important thing. In past 30 days on ASV wost night of 28.8 and ...

Re: Phillips Respironics Amara
Quattro Air is the mask I am currently using. Have two new ones in box to back up the one I am using. I had bad luck with two previous gel masks but like you they seem like should work. Guess when I go to my DME tomorrow I will order another Quattro Air for my end of year supply order. Doctor prescr...

Phillips Respironics Amara
I am in my sleep doctors office waiting room. On tbe display is a Phillips Respironics Amara. Looks very similar to my Quattro FX in all aspects except for the gell padding. Anyone have any experience/opinions on tbis mask? My DME seems to like it and tried to get me to switch when I got the new ASV...

Re: Worried about my Testosterone (24 year old male)
I am 50 and been taking testosterone via injections from a compounding pharmacy mix. Due to other factors I have a blood draw every 2 to 4 weeks. My testosterone level stays right at the bottom of normal range. That with even a relative high dose. The low t had now effects on my libido nor has repla...

Re: Thinking of switching to Auto Set
I just switched from bibap to bipapASV a few weeks ago. Massive centrals came down and my AHI dropped from average of low 30's to around 10. My mask was a bit of issue for a time until found the correct one for me. I also take testosterone and mine is mixed at a compounding pharmacy and administered...

Re: OT: Link between Dental X-rays and Cancer
jnk, I don't have the time to research my statement about medical office magazines beyond one page of a quick Google search. I do know that in looking though OSHA materials from classes the wife has attended they recommend that medical offices either purge their magazines often or completely forgo t...

Re: OT: Link between Dental X-rays and Cancer
My wonderful wife is a Registered Dental Hygienist who is the sweet lady that shoots your dental x-rays when you need them. Her former full time office does not require or demand new images every year. They will shoot a new set every two to three years or if they see something suspicious. She now wo...

Re: New BiPAP/ASV user
i have been switching from cpap to bipap and finally to bipap ASV about three weeks ago. I never had a good nights sleep with cpap or bipap. My first night and every one since with ASV have been the best sleep I can ever remember having even before the head injury induced centrals. That said, I had ...

Re: Heated tubing?
maggie said "9 hours is a lot of sleep." After a decade or more of not sleeping since getting my ASV machine two weeks ago I have 4 nights of over 10 hours sleep. The second night I didn't set an alarm and slept 13 hours. My body is getting addicted to this sleep stuff.
