ResMed s9
I have had this unit for 3 years or so, and now am wondering... When I go on a trip, as I do not need the humidifier at all, can I just take one side of the machine and get a plain hose to attach to the side of the main unit? I know I cannot use the humidifier hose as the orange piece obstructs, but...

Re: Off Topic - Hearing Aid Help.....
But the Resounds and Kirklands are not the same - they are similar. If you bought at Costco, a local audiologist cannot repair them, as there is always some difference in what is included - the Costco brands may b e a generation behind.

Re: Off Topic - Hearing Aid Help.....
When you use hearingaidforums.com you can search virtually anything related to aids and hearing loss. Give it a try. Lots of newbies all the time just starting out. But you are right, there are no stickies.

I use hearingaidforums. That has a LOT of traffic; the other one does not get a lot of traffic.

Re: OT: Hearing Aids
Just a follow up - I love the Resound Linx. I bought an iPhone which is needed to run the programs. I can change the treble and bass if something sounds too tinny. I will be set up on Tuesday for some new options, but overall I am quite pleased with them.

Re: OT: Hearing Aids
Yesterday I went to the ReSound audiologist, and spent 2 hours there, talking. He set me up with a LiNX system, but did not give me a trial. I have a 45 day window at full price, with full refund. OMG, the things they can do!!Now all I have to do is buy an iPhone!!

Re: Pilairo Q users, how often do you get new parts?
I have been using the Pilairo for many months. You have to be sure that the cushion is "snapped" in place. I have not had one come loose and I have been using it for about 9 months. I do NOT like the new headgear, but luckily when I replace the headgear the old style is included. I got a shipment of...

Re: OT: Hearing Aids
I went back to the Audi and traded the Oticon Alta Pros for the Audeo Q90s to test again, as the first time they were not programmed properly. She said I should wear each demo for two weeks to be sure, so I am between the Oticons and Phonaks. Phonak is now going to sell at Costco, which has many ind...

Re: OT: Hearing Aids
if you do a bit of checking online, you will find that there are hearing aids that are rechargeable. I just did a quick, not thorough check, and there are Siemens and Rexton models that recharge.

Re: OT: Hearing Aids
Thanks, Nate. I read HearingAidForums pretty regularly. I know Costco is a pretty popular choice, BUT the closest one in the US is in Erie, Pa [I am in Buffalo, NY] and the next choice is in Hamilton, Ontario, so it is not a choice for me at all.I cannot see such a long drive for adjustments to just...

Re: OT: Hearing Aids
I am a bit puzzled - if I am trialing these aids, should I not be able to use zoom features, etc? The Alta Pro has a button on each aid, but I wonder if they were activated or not. I would like to try a remote. I go back on Wednesday, and I may re-try the Phonak. I liked the feel on my ear - the Oti...
