Re: CPAP when you're congested
My position on the wisdom of skipping CPAP for a URI is that it depends on how severe the OSA is. In my case, I believe I would be risking my life to go without CPAP in supine REM for even one night. But for someone with a very low untreated AHI, I mostly agree with the suggested approaches in the ...

Re: Interesting idea for FFM and preventing chin drop.
Saw this on reddit... someone made a .... hybrid chin strap? https://old.reddit.com/r/CPAP/comments/a5z8dr/here_is_my_whole_mask_including_chubby_jowls/ Very unusual to need that with a Full Face mask...??? Depends on how slack one's jaw is, I suppose, opening the mouth too much will take it out of...

One could likely see it during daylight hours.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 5:26 pmCpaps are primarily used in the dark or near-darkness.
Human eyes lose the ability to see colors as conditions become dimmer.
Color is not relevant.
Might or might not be relevant to you, but it must be relevant to JoyD. thus the question.

Re: Advice needed to set up secondary machine for my wife
Are you sure the spare machine is the 860 model .. or is it the model 760? If it is the model 760 Use Auto BiPap mode Set PS minimum to 0 and set PS maximum to 0 Set minimum EPAP to 6 Set maximum IPAP to 10 Set BiFlex to 3 The machine will then function just like the Auto CPAP with 6 min and 10 max...

Advice needed to set up secondary machine for my wife
My wife is using a Dreamstation Auto CPAP 500X110 in APAP mode currently set up at Min 6 CmH2O to Max 10 CmH2O with pressure relief set at 3. Her AHI at Dx was around 18 and purely OSA with no complications. She's asked me not to post graphs, but her 90% pressure runs around 8.5 with a very occasion...

Re: Weird occurrence-lost an hour last night
This post made my curious, so I checked my sleepyhead report for last night. I went to bed around 10:45 which would have been 9:45 on my machine since I didn't change the internal clock when DST started. Sleepyhead showed me going to bed at 8:45. Evidently, it just shifted everything back one hour....

Re: Weird occurrence-lost an hour last night
Thanks all.
Glad to know it wasn't just me. I would have thought I'd have noticed it before, but evidently it didn't register.

Weird occurrence-lost an hour last night
Looking at my SH report for last night, I find there is a blank time gap of appx. one hour between 5:00-6:00 am. Then the timeline starts back again for almost another hour. It's as if the machine just shut down for an hour due to a power interruption or the like. But nothing of that nature happened...

Re: Coming Soon: Full Review of Resmed Airfit F30 Full Face Mask
What about the headgear, is it fairly generous since it only comes in one size?
And I wonder if maybe it's too small and that's what is causing the cushion to press up too hard against the bottom of your nose? I've had this problem with top straps being too tight before.

Re: try to order the ClimateLine Heated Tubing to avoid rain out
As far as fitment goes, I will say this. I have two fairly close serial numbered Air Sense 10 Autoset machines and two Climateline Air hoses. One of the hoses has the little orange stripe on the machine end fitting as shown in the link and the other does not. Although it can be persuaded gently to f...

Re: ResMed new FFM the F30 available for pre order at cpap.com
Please, please. Those of you who bought the F30, please post a review. It would be helpful to compare to the AmaraView if possible. Since 2009, I've worn the Innomed/RespCare Universal Hybrid, but as I lose weight, I am developing leaks and might need to find a different hybrid mask. This looks lik...

Re: ResMed new FFM the F30 available for pre order at cpap.com
I've been wanting to try one as soon as I heard they were coming out, in hopes of finding a mask similar to the Dreamwear FFM that was easier for me to keep a seal with. But I'm thinking now that I may wait a while and see if the price comes down a little. Doh, it was on sale... When I looked at it...

Re: Best FF Masks for High Pressures
My Simplus can handle it but only if I wrench it down so tight that the bridge of my nose is raw hamburger the next morning. I know and accept that what I'm about to say goes against popular opinion and advice, but my experience is that there is no magic FFM when it comes to pressure-related leaks. ...
