Re: OT::: Obama Complicit In Syrian Gas Attack?

That Oxycontin sure packs a wallop.

Steve Earle even wrote a song about it:

Re: Desperate for a Solution to Apnea/Sinus Problems

Just to echo what pbriggs wrote; I've had rather could luck in terms of cpap helping with sinus congestion (among other things). I've got some allergies, but nothing too severe. My sleep doc specified on the script that I should not get a humidifier to help dry out my sinuses (I've sure the DME woul...

Re: Dealing with your boss while getting used to CPAP?

I wish you luck, I've had my share of difficult bosses. If safety is a concern; I would take the position that it's better to walk off the job than it is to put yourself and/or others in harm's way. Unless you're doing research in a level 4 biological weapons facility; in which case you kinda lost t...

Re: ZEO questions

I checked the adapter it says it outputs 5v @ 1amp but I doubt it draws that much current. The base does in fact have a USB port that accepts the power adapter so you'll probably be ok with a USB charger/adapter. I plugged it into my desktop through a usb cable just for yuks and it seems to charge j...

Re: ZEO questions

I've got a mobile, it comes a base to charge it and a wallwart. I'm sure that it wouldn't take a lot of effort to replace the AC adapter; at least you don't have to worry about voiding your warranty. They recommend replacing the headband and the sensor every couple of months, I don't think you'll fi...

Re: Anyone here swim?

Another possible solution is to try the side-stroke and/or the back-stroke, that would be less hardware intense.

Re: Anyone here swim?

They make snorkels for swimmers. I've seen several models, some make you look like a dopey unicorn: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BJ_vmzk04ms/UB_jf9mMu0I/AAAAAAAAEFo/BzVgdhEaBBE/s1600/2011_11_20_Finis_Swimmers_Snorkel_Review_1.jpg and others are high-tech and look pretty cool: http://wordlesstech.com/wp...

Sorry to hear of his health problems. I ponied up the same day I downloaded it, it seemed like too nice of a piece of work to go unacknowledged.

Re: apnea - just diagnosed - effect on marriage

You're lucky, when I started cpap I wasn't afraid of losing my wife; I thought they were going to make me shave my beard. The Mrs. will be happy once you stop snoring and your energy level comes back up. Soldier on my friend; as 'ol Billy Shakespeare once wrote, the world must be peopled. Speaking o...

Re: Have a Phillips model with SD card?

This is cool, I'm going to be watching this thread with considerable interest. What kind of card do you have? I'm looking at a Toshiba FlashAir 8GB which claims to be fully functional and transparent to the device. Two things are holding me back. One is the fact that I'd need to transfer the data us...

Re: Pulse/Ox to the rescue.

I'll try it at some point but I'm pretty sure the Respironics is similar, that is to say I believe it is also formatted using it's own proprietary format. Hence my opinion that the solution will be specific to one make of cpap machine. If you do decide to get a wireless card and to hack it you're pr...

Re: Pulse/Ox to the rescue.

Dear all, Most of the time I find no correspondence between the data of APAP and Pulse Ox. Of course, the value and pattern of both are important, but, which is more important? Sorry, if you find it a dumb question. In my situation I don't think that correlating the data is a really big deal, I jus...
