Re: Reviews of new AirFit P10 Resmed nasal pillow mask thread
I'm using the P10 and love it. Currently I'm taping my mouth to keep from mouth breathing. Chinstrap made my teeth hurt, I need some dental work, so the strap is out until I can get that done. I It like it a lot, I find it easier to use than the FX and a lot more comfortable. I like that it is one s...

Re: Just diagnosed, in denial, questions....
I'm 39. I totally understand the reluctance. I had it at first too but my dr said in my case I've probably had Apnea all of my life and that is why I've always had to fight my weight. He said I would lose weight easier with CPAP because the stress hormones from the lack of oxygen would be gone. I de...

Re: Has anyone actually been cured of apnea with D3 supplements?
I was found to be very low in D(Sept) before my apnea was diagnosed (April) . Dr thought D3 would fix everything. Not so much. My D levels were 50 something by the time I got to my sleep dr. I actually felt somewhat better after I started the D3 but then I'd been freezing all summer and sleeping mos...

Re: Diet that actually works with Apnea
I think everyone does the best they can. My current theory is get your daily recommended veggies first, 2.5 cups if you are older and 1.5 cups of fruit, avoid processed foods and walk as much as possible. If you can eat that much produce and still be hungry, then go you. That's a lot of food especia...

Re: Graves Disease?
My Mom and cousin both have Graves. Both did radiation and take the meds and have no further issues. Mom was mid thirties when she was diagnosed, she is now 65 and just got her sleep apnea diagnosis within weeks of me. With Graves, she was a hyperactive, not sleeping mess before she was diagnosed, I...

Oh, good! Thank-you Pugsy.
I will do that tonight.
I don't know what I'd do without this group. I'd probably be stuck with a brick and have given up.

Re: Newbie Suffocating but Good AHI
I have no problems with it when I put it on, it feels fine. I haven't been using the ramp feature. I wake up and feel like my face is hot and I'm suffocating, like I just can't get enough air. Second night was similar, but with 3 events. 2 clear airway and 1 hypopnea for a .47 AHI, I had lowered the...

Newbie Suffocating but Good AHI
Hi, Last night was my first night using a machine. My Dr couldn't get me in for 2 1/2 weeks to set the pressures so I got my RX and set them myself. I purchased my machine from Secondwind. So RX was for 5/15 so I tried that and felt suffocated. I bumped it up to 6.0 and went to sleep. I woke up a fe...

Re: How was your OSA/CSA discovered?
I wanted to lose weight so I'd have more energy. I'd just finished getting my vitamin D levels up to the minimum range and was still so tired. I bought a BodyMedia Link armband from Costco. I did everything I was supposed to but I didn't lose weight. My sleep kept looking weird, the Link showed that...
