I used to do that all the time. Find a new mask or fix the leak on the one you have. And you can tell this because...........?...

Re: Using Humidifier and now have chapped lips

Things got better when I went to the Mirage FX nasal mask and then when I went to the Swift FX nasal pillow it was eve...

Re: For those who want to quit CPAP
I'd argue that most people with untreated severe OSA would be lucky to even make it to 77. Age 67 seems to be a pretty reasonable time for a lot of people to expire with a myriad of causes that are apnea related.

When it's 8% humidity in the winter here I consider a heated humidifier to be a bonus.

Re: Anyone using CPAP for non-Apnea or heart issues?
One thing that needs to be mentioned is the nocturia will really screw up your mineral levels over the long run. Getting up 4-6 times per night and dumping that much fluid is not a good situation. Before going down the road of believing you have something horrible like lyme disease, you should start...

antioxidant NAC and sleep apnea
Was talking to a friend (no sleep apnea involved) and he said he wasn't feeling as energetic because he hadn't been taking Vit D and NAC. So I think what is this NAC... do a few searches and come across this. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/21838198 "CONCLUSIONS: Oral NAC administration appears t...

I remember someone on a forum saying this had happened to them because they let it go so long.archangle wrote:I guess you could make the argument that untreated OSA->low O2->brain damage->central apnea.

Re: Eson nasal mask noise
Mine would make a super high pitch sound if it started leaking around the bridge of my nose.
The first time it happened it was so loud and shrill I thought it was the carbon monoxide detector going off.
I have not heard this kind of shrill noise from any other mask.

Re: wreaking havoc on people’s moods, sleeping patterns,
All u do is go to Sam's Club and get one of those 500 pre-cut foil sheet boxes and tape them to the ceiling in your bedroom. Problem solved.
