Any suggestions on new mask?

Hey everyone, havent been on this site for a while now but recently I had to switch vendors. Currently I have the airsense 10 autoset and using the swift fx pillows. For a while the pillows worked great once I took the swivel off of a nano headset. But since I'm changing vendors and looking online I...

Got my new autosense 10

So I got my new autosense 10 two days ago. This is my second machine I have ever used. My first one was the respronics one and I really like the auto flex settings. Breathing felt natural but with the autosense I find when inhaling in there's a lag from when the pressure comes back on. Is there a se...

Re: Looking for a new machine. So many new models!

My pressures were set at factory default until I came here and started monitoring my own sleep with sleepyhead. I have mine at 7.5 for the last four years. Any advice on a better or newer mask for a nose breather? Thanks Also would it be wise to wait maybe for a newer model to come out since these m...

Hey everyone, so its been a while since I've been on this forum. I'm due for a new machine now and was a bit lost on what to request from my supplier. I used the respironics system one with no heated tubed for five years with the fx nasal pillows for the most part. I think I do want to try a heated ...

Re: Can cpap push dirt deeper into lungs?

I would, however use a heated humidifier if at all possible, as the extra moisture helps your body's natural processes to remove foreign material from your breathing passages. BTW, if you are a smoker---STOP. Yes I have a heated humidifier. I also found out using one of the higher settings caused a...

Can cpap push dirt deeper into lungs?

I'm in the construction/welding industry. Almost on a daily basis there is some soot or black dirt in my airway when I blow my nose at the end of the day. Can cpap push the finer dust/dirt deeper into my lungs? There's been so much positive with cpap for me, its almost too good to be true... Has the...

Nano hose pieces come off and fit the fx hose

Im sure some of you guys have created this setup but for those who haven't here's my setup. I've tried a few masks and have always came back to the fx pillows. However, I like the new hose that the nano has so I ordered the nano hose and use the fx pillows. The hose can get expensive to buy every fe...

Re: two weeks new to CPAP, just joined here

Give it time. I cant fall asleep now without my machine now. It becomes like a normal thing even more like a comfort to have it on before I sleep. Took me about two months of horrible sleep, constantly waking up and ripping off the mask at night without realizing. Also once I got my humidity level s...

Re: Cant inhale in the mornings lately

I did feel hungry for air like I was drowning. I have my humidity set at 2, I did learn first hand how higher humidity can lead to congestion. I just looked at my data and see that the last 5 mins before I woke up the flow rate started getting closer to flat line then when the waves got close to fla...

Cant inhale in the mornings lately

Hey guys been using cpap for just over a year now and loving it. However, the last few days I've been having an issue in the mornings. Usually the cpap pressure opens my nasal airway and when I take it off in the morning it closes right up. But the last few days I wake up struggling to inhale (it fe...
