Re: OT: PERSCare Basic PPO Plan vs. PERS Choice Basic PPO Plan
No experience, but another question to ask is what their DME policy is. Do they have capped rentals when you get a new machine? If so, how long is the rental period (beware of going over the calendar year and getting another deductible). Do they have perpetual rental or do they buy the machine outr...

Re: Time for a new BiPap VAuto, ASV, ST-A?
I have a mixed sleep apnea (regular OSA combined with Central) = and when I was diagnosed I was prescribed an ASV for treatment. Recently when I forgot my ASV on a trip, I got a Air Mini to trial and found it was treating me as well as my ASV. Soon after, I had a video appointment with my sleep doct...

OT: PERSCare Basic PPO Plan vs. PERS Choice Basic PPO Plan
Has anyone had experience with PERS Care Basic PPO plan or PERS Choice Basic PPO Plan? Both are through Anthem . . . Recently I moved out of California, so no more Kaiser for me- and these are my only 2 choices within the CalPERS medical plans available to me where I currently am located- The PERS C...

Re: Creating a Top Referral List
Interesting -
I am hoping to develop a personal list of places here in the United States, since this is where I live. I definitely wouldn't choose the doctor who got angry at D.H.

Re: STICKY...can't find distilled water? What can I do?
Hi. I'm in So Cal, USA. For weeks, I have been unable to find any distilled water for my CPAP in stores. In desperation, I bought six small bottles on Amazon for $24 !!! Does anyone have an idea what I can do? Thanks. When I was on travel in Southern California (in Mid-March), and it was extremely ...

Re: Has anyone used Apria Health Care? Whom do you recommend for DME in northern California?
Apria is fine if you use a regular mainstream type of mask - but if you require a mask that isn't as widely used - like I used a cloth mask, in a size small instead of a size regular . . . it took quite some time and several calls before they were able to give me one in the correct size, but they to...

Sometimes if there are agencies in your area that receive and distribute donated PAPs, will clean your machine for a reasonable fee.

Re: Suggest best replacement ASV
My first ASV was the Philips Respironics 960T, I had a very difficult time adjusting to that device. I am so grateful that Kaiser allowed me to change to the ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV - I sleep way better with it and my average AHI is much better with it as well

Re: Great ASV Deal on Craigslist
I just saw this ad on the Chicago Craigslist...even with shipping it's cheap. https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/for/d/elk-grove-village-resmed-aircurve-10-asv/7067336034.html Hmm, it may be a scam - the same post with the exact same photos in the San Francisco bay area craigslist https://sfbay.cra...
