Transcend CPAP machine
Hi all. I'm thinking about buying a backup machine that's compatible with a solar charger. My everyday machine is a Resmed S9. I'm leaning toward the transcend but don't know which model would most closely resemble my machine. There's an auto, an EZEX, and a regular Transcend. I tried asking my resp...

Re: Vent: Ugh..bad taste in my mouth from another board..
I think you have to take the good with the bad in any situations. When I first joined this board I had someoneone give me some unsolicited advice (totally unrelated to sleep apnea) and when I called them out on it I was met very aggressively by a couple of people. I let if roll off and thank God bec...

Re: Did sleep therapist lock my machine somehow?
Thank you! That was spot on. I hadn't changed anything in months and I forgot. It's working fine nowSTL Mark wrote:You may not really be in the clinical menu. You can review the settings when pressing both silver buttons, clinical mode is check marks and round knob.

Did sleep therapist lock my machine somehow?
I went in a few weeks ago to get some supplies and the sleep therapist fiddled with my Machine a bit. She changed the filter and checked my data but now I'm thinking she did something so I can't change my pressure setting. I can get into the clinical menu but I can't change any of the settings. Idea...

Re: How long did it take for CPAP results to show?
2 or 3 days and i felt stellar for about 3 months. after that i felt a ton better than i did without cpap but not as perky as i did initially. my sleep doctor said this is a very common pattern. in the first three months people feel amazing because they are literally catching up on a ton of lost sle...

Re: Those who sleep through the night
I wake up once or twice a night because I have three little kids but if I were left alone I would sleep through the night:) you can see my equipment down below. I sleep on my back or my side. Before CPAP I probably got up once or twice a night to use the bathroom or tend to the kids. The difference ...

Re: sleep study for 4 year old- question
also those graphs don't necessarily imply causation! there appears to be a correlation between the amount of melatonin and age but it's impossible to say from the graphs which causes which or if there is causation at all.

Re: sleep study for 4 year old- question
Melatonin has a bunch of other functions besides helping sleep, including a significant relation to the onset of puberty. Interestingly, young children already have tons of it (or should) floating around there already: http://www.benbest.com/nutrceut/mela_age.jpg http://www.live-in-green.com/featur...
