Re: When to use humidifier? At what settings?

Pugsy-you posted before I could provide the following answer! But I will post it anyway. The only thing that I will be adding that is helpful may be the last sentence-regarding the machine adjusting automatically to the relative humidity and room temperature regardless of where you are. I'm confused...

Re: Using Nasal Pillow for first time

It would help other members on the forum if you would post the type of equipment you are using. That can be done in the User Control Panel at the top left of the page. Should you need any help in doing this just ask on the forum. Once you have posted this information people will be able to help you ...

Re: Buying Online

I am nervous about buying online but cannot resist the cost. I also didn't buy from the local DME as they were a complete rip-off when one considers the services they provide. There really shouldn't be any reason to be nervous about the purchase. CSS is a great company to deal with when buying a ma...

Re: Buying Online

I purchased from Clinical Sleep Solutions two months ago. I got a Resmed S9 Autoset with H5 Humidifier, Climate Line Hose, trave lbag, etc. and paid $1,195 (I had already purchased the nasal pillows and headgear). They shipped the next day and shipping was included. They were easy to deal with. You ...

Re: Battery Backup

I'd use an invertor (cheaper and more versatile than the ResMed cord) ... Which I use to use to power it, but my new company does not allow invertors in their trucks ... So I went to a dc cord. I remember reading somewhere that there different kinds of invertors (sine, modified sine, etc.) and we a...

Thanks for that link, archangel. Sorry it took so long to respond but I haven't been on the computer much today.

Re: Battery Backup

I posted this here instead of sending you a PM so that someone else who uses a S9 Autoset could confirm that this will work for you. Below is a link to our forum hosts site that has the DC Converter that you would probably need to do what you want to do. It is not cheap like the Philips Respironics...

Re: Battery Backup

As I already had a generator for home use, I have no plans in place to get a battery backup. Our power outages only occur a few times each winter and are rarely longer than a few hours. The power company can give us an approximate time of restoring power. If it looks like it will be a long outage, d...

Re: Any tips for a new Swift FX user?

And hoping, I tried taping my mouth shut for a while too, fun stuff eh? I was already using a chin strap but found out I was clamping the thing down too tight. Now that I've loosened it up a bit I don't have to use the tape, even though it's sitting on my nightstand, just in case. My favorite part ...

Re: cleaning

This is a little embarrassing given what others do to clean their equipment. I have only been on cpap for a little over two months. Initially I had problems with congestion (quite nasty) and I had thought that I may have mold problems in the hoses. Cleaning wasn't achieving anything to resolve my co...

Re: Any tips for a new Swift FX user?

I started cpap over two months ago and have only used the pillows. They are extremely comfortable. To the point that I don't actually know they are on at night. At least when I go to sleep. Sometimes I will wake up in the middle of the night with the headgear off and not remember taking it off . And...

Re: Back on the Swift FX and it's eating my ear

Moleskin? I assume I would have to make (sew) it together around the straps somehow? Moleskin has an adhesive back so no sewing would be required. I am not sure how well it will stick to silicone though. If it didn't stick well to the silicone one could cut a piece of moleskin the entire length of ...
