Re: OT: Coffee maker selections, which to choose?
I did the search a few months ago. I finally got a Cuisinart single cup maker that doesn't need filters. I looked at the Keurig, but refused to pay the premium to get one that would make a larger, stronger cup. Most other single cup makers would not let me brew directly to my travel mug but the Cuis...

Re: A quick newbie question...
You don't HAVE to do anything but turn off the machine and take off the mask. I usually do that and hang my mask in the closet but I am in the "I'll clean it if I darn well feel like it" camp so take it for what it's worth.

Re: Nasal pillow leaking with apap peak pressure
My pillows also leak if I don't get it adjusted right when I put it on. The S9 has a nice feature that will do a leak check for you. If you press a button so the screen is lit then press the upper rectangular button, scroll down 2 notches, and press the round button it will do a leak check with a fa...

Re: OT -- Coffee: it is an awesome thing
I looked at the k-cup brewers but too expensive for me. I bought a cheap ($18) black & decker single cup brewer use 4 cup paper filters and what ever coffee is my current favorite. Brews 1 cup in about 2 minutes and it's always fresh.

Re: Airline Regulations FYI
Recently flew St. Paul, MN to Ft. Myers, FL and back and you can carry your cpap as an extra free bag, So I had my carry on in the overhead, a small bag with books under the seat, and my cpap bag in the overhead. It made things a lot easier, especially when my wife had my carry on full of seashells...

Re: Whistling Noise
I switched from the swift fx because my wife complained of a whistle it was making. I couldn't hear it but it really bothered her. I finally got a respironics opti-life mask that she says doesn't whistle.

I'd prefer one single thread for the whole topic. Then we can hopefully pin it to the top and it will be easily available as a reference.

Re: Tweaking Pressures has me totally confused.
You could just set the maximum wide open, it really won't affect anything. The minimum pressure is a bit more important as having it too low could allow events to happen and it takes as the machine adjusts. Since your ahi is so low I'd leave the minimum pressure alone and maybe open the max. a bit b...

Re: Pretty in Pink has arrived!
Are you using a Resmed s9? If you are there is a warm up mode you can use to pre-heat the water a bit and it should give you a little bit warmer air. you hold down the round button for 3 seconds to start it.

Re: Graves Disease?
I see you've gotten a lot of support since I commented yesterday, all good! I just wanted to expand a bit on what I told you. My mother in law had the radiation therapy at least 10 years ago and has had absolutely no problems. The only change in her daily routine being a daily dose of levothroxin (s...

Re: Graves Disease?
My Mother-in-law had graves disease. They finally treated it by radiating her thyroid, effectively killing it so she takes synthroid. Other than that she has a normal life. My wife has the opposite, an under active thyroid so she also takes synthroid. Now, this is easy for me to say since I'm just a...
