Re: Getting to the breaking point

You sound so determined not to help yourself... anyone can make a 'free' reasonable hose cover, same for a hanger, and certainly people here would help with how to do those. Or, I've already been down that road and tried all those things and none of them have worked. But thanks for your doubt and a...

Re: Getting to the breaking point

From the sound of this thread, you have never had effective therapy. And if you are still using a straight cpap, you are not going to.......using a pressure of 20.......you need a bi-level. Does your machine even have data other than compliance?? I simply don't have the option of changing machines....

Getting to the breaking point

When I first got my CPAP it was fantastic. Like I'd woken up for the first time in years. But then, gradually, it faded. I am still better off with the CPAP than without, by a large margin, but I'm also still extremely tired, all the time. It generally takes me most of the day just to get to a point...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care

I agree Eric - I just don't know why you repeated it. It wasn't necessary to include it again. It is a very sad photo, and posting it almost seems as if the poor dog is being exploited all over again for political purposes in trying to make a point in the nastiest way possible. Nate Let me take a p...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care

Honestly, go fuck yourself with your socialist, libtard beliefs and attitudes. And there we have it folks. Facts? Logic? Reason? Intelligent debate? No, it's all just pure hate behind all that rhetoric. I hear Zimbabwe is nice this time of year. Lots of people with a similar attitude and dispositio...

Re: Canadians Being Truthful About Socialistic Medical Care

I will never understand the thinking behind fighting against free healthcare for all citizens of a nation. It's just bizarre to me that people would not only want to prevent access to it for others but also for their friends, family and themselves. It truly boggles my mind.

Do mild painkillers have any known effects?

I have a lot of minor aches and pains. Sometimes they're annoying enough that I take a panadol (for headaches, mild back or shoulder pain) or ibuprofen (joint pain). Recently I had a string of times where my knee in particular was quite painful and so I took ibuprofen for several nights in a row abo...

Ever sleep unmasked yourself?

I've now had my machine for just over a year and this is the first time that I've ever woken up (5am right now for me) to find myself without a mask on. I've consciously taken it off a couple of times and fallen back asleep without putting it on, but this is the first time I wasn't aware of either. ...

Re: Blocked nose woes

I think you're just noticing your nasal cycle when you start settling down for the night. Nope. The "nasal cycle" is a myth. Right now I can breathe through both nostrils just fine. Seriously, google the phrase nasal cycle and see if that describes what you are noticing I have, months ago. And I've...

Re: Blocked nose woes

The congestion starts as soon as I even contemplate laying down for the night. I usually try and rest a bit in bed, get the heart rate down, regulate my breathing, etc. before I even put the mask on. The congestion is during that time and either settles down or doesn't. Although it is usually one no...
